If she actually read anything about feminism she’d know bra burning wasn’t a thing.

And there’s a VAST difference between having a six pack and being “stick thin”. Men with six packs eat healthy and exercise - they behave in healthy ways. “Stick figure” women often take drugs, under eat and have other unhealthy behaviors to maintain their appearance.

Oh also men aren’t valued for their appearance the way women are. But let’s pretend the highest paying job dominated by women isn’t modeling while men have finance, tech and many other industries predominantly driven by men.

I mean she wants really great things, but… did she take a look out of the window? It’s nice that she doesn’t want to be judged for being too thin, fat, white, brown, small- or bigchested. But wishing doesn’t make these things reality. Congratulations on wanting to be a team in your marriage but look at all the studies which show that we are still so far away from this like we are to the time the pyramids were build.

This woman is so uncomfortable in all her internalized misogyny she’s decided she doesn’t even want to be thought of as a woman, just an amorphous “person,” indistinguishable from a man. Now, there are many circumstances in which men and women should be treated identically (the application of most laws, for instance), but in relationships, all this does is obscure the ways in which she is different from her boyfriend, preventing her from getting her distinct needs met. This is on purpose, and it is why men encourage this behavior.

Also, this is a nitpick, but burning your bra = a second wave protest against beauty standards and having to always be sexually attractive to men. It’s not remotely equivalent to “having special privileges over men” to suggest that women shouldn’t be considered immodest for refusing to wear an uncomfortable piece of clothing whose original purpose was to push their boobs up and make them look more attractive to men.

Why do these pick mes think they are an authority on what feminism is? As if anyone asked in the first place?

Also, I’ll take posts like this seriously when these pick mes publicly demand that men do half of the cooking, half of the dishes, half of scrubbing the toilets and the bath tub, half of the vacuuming, half of the laundry, half of feeding the baby, half of waking up in the middle of the night for a crying child, half of the doctors visits, half of the PTA meetings, half of the grocery shopping, half of the bath times, and half of combing their kids hair. These pick me cowards are way too comfortable attacking other feminists, but they have no smoke for the worthless, inactive husbands/fathers in the majority of homes who demand 50/50 on the bills while offering 20% of household participation. And they know they’d get dragged if they actually held them accountable.
