Part of the reason they even got married when they did was because Bill's mom was dying of cancer and she wanted to see her son get married.

I'd love to hear more details about the divorce and what really happened. For now all we know is that they can't "grow" together anymore, whatever TF that means. I'm sure the press will spill the tea soon enough.

YES! Melinda and scrote had an agreement which specified he would marry her if he could maintain his tradition of going on a vacation with one of his ex girlfriends every year at her said ex’s beach house. Um, WHAT. I think he married Melinda so he wouldn’t lose her, not because he wanted to fully commit himself.

The strongest indicator of a LVM is if he preys on woman in her early 20s while he is over 30. It's the strongest red flag.

When they got together she was 24, he was 34. Case closed. That's all I need to know to call it, he's LV. There is no such thing as a HVM over 30 who dates 24 year olds.

Age gaps that start when the woman is in her early 20s have high divorce rates, so it's shocking it lasted as long as it did. But extreme wealth and PR probably played a major factor in that "success", so again I vote he's LV.

Plus I find extreme wealth to be incompatible with what I considered to be HV qualities. The hero worship you see over rich people is so backwards.

Bill Gates has always been LVM bc imo a lack of empathy = LVM. Smart and rich isn’t all it takes, I’d like to have a heart inside my man if that’s possible!!

But that’s sad. I feel for her. I could see how she probably felt it was a powerful move & right thing to do by making him decide like that. I hope she feels some happiness and relief throughout the divorce process

Absolutely. He's a horrible person who constantly breaks laws and then rewrites laws in order to accommodate his greed and desire for power. He's smashed many many small businesses in illegal ways, most of his "philanthropy" is just funneling money from one enterprise to another and getting PR for it, and he could have used his money to probably slow down climate change so we could as a planet get a grip and prevent the catastrophes that have started but are only going to increase - but he didn't do anything meaningful and impactful on that. He preferred to get richer and richer. He was also quite chummy with Epstein.

He took an annual vacation with his ex while he was married! There was another thread about this yesterday that I commented on (see my comment history) and a lot of people were pointing out the various evils he has funded, etc

Another thought: he's one of the richest men in the world. if he wanted to end homelessness, he would. If he wanted to end poverty, he would. If he wanted to end food insecurity he would. He has not.

I don't believe that he's had a genuine marriage with Melinda Gates for a long time. They probably had some kind of business arrangement for PR reasons. One or both of them probably just got fed up with this business contract type of marriage. 27 years is a long time.

Yes I think he’s absolutely fake and a bad person. My very wealthy friend’s dad met him and he’s the type who downplays his wealth to humblebrag but is actually incredibly calculating, power-hungry, and manipulative. I do not trust him.

Honestly, Bill is LV. 27 years of marriage and divorce now? Why now? I was thinking he cheated or wants someone younger. Or Melinda is tired of him. I read an article somewhere about their relationship back in 2019 and it mentioned how Melinda would complaining about Bill not doing anything for the relationship but she stick it out because marriage is hard. "Being married to Bill is hard." I bet it is. He met her when he was 34, and she was in her 20s and she was an intern (red flag - power play), he didn't want to get married after 6 years (red flag - forever gf tales), he made pros/cons list (weird).

Very LVM. Being rich doesn’t instantly make you HVM, having money is what all ppl who are hv should have but it doesn’t mean having a ton of money makes you better person- shit ppl can have money too.

Most of his real world actions have been pretty shitty in terms of relationships. I think they would have divorced sooner if it wasn’t for the huge amount of money and legal work involved; it was a prolonged time coming

I don’t think he’s necessarily an LVM for making a Pros and Cons list. He’s cognitive functions are tilted more towards IQ than EQ, so I wouldn’t be surprised by that part.
