On a tangential topic, the disrespect Nancy Reagan got on the Internet last month, dear god. For those who are unaware, the phrase “throat goat” was trending last month after someone’s autobiography mentioned that in her younger actress days, Nancy Reagan had Been known among Hollywood for being good at giving oral sex, and that tidbit was used to humiliate the woman from beyond the grave. I don’t have any particular feelings towards her or her politics, but using her past as a likely groomed and abused (knowing Hollywood and the 1950s) young woman to express your politics is just morally depraved.

I saw this and contemplated making a post about it! Makes me want to vomit. So many upvotes - I was questioning my own sanity for a moment. But I guess that's reddit: the place where degrading, disrespectful shit is seen as funny. Any sane person would be at least disappointed that the husband chose to use the chance to do something nice for his wife as a "joke".

I'm sorry :( It's important to have compatible senses of humor with your partner. I can see how some people might find it trashy or insulting, but they're probably boring and uptight.

Which is fine if that's what you want, but then they become so bitter that no one who lives up to those standards exists/is single/wants to put up with them.

This one weirded me out just because I know FDS normally mentions how scrotes threaten you with a 'you'll never find someone who [doesn't expect you to sleep with them before commitment/isn't an alcoholic/has a university degree/pays for your dates/plan dates to begin with etc. etc.]' but I haven't actually had this happen to me, through sheer luck.
