Spanish speaker here. Macho in Spanish has a different connotation. I think they're referring to the stereotypical "alpha male", not to all men. More in a metaphorical sense than than in an actual sense.

The banner actually says "death to the macho" meaning say no to the bad boys stereotype. It's a common Latin feminist headline to get women to 1. Date soy boys and 2. raise soy boys. The sign doesn't say death to men, it says death to macho. Macho in this sense is closer to machismo, or exaggerated/dangerous masculinity.

For fellow Spanish speakers who disagree with me, there's a response on quora that explains it well.

“Muerte al macho” no significa “Muerte a los hombres” aunque los hombres sean parte fundamental del machismo, del “ser macho”. Así como el “capitalismo” es una construcción social, un conjunto de instituciones y una forma de funcionar, (no se puede matar al capitalismo, no es un ser viviente cuya vida pueda ser finalizada), tampoco se puede “matar al macho”, y no se propone con esa frase matar “a los hombres” porque el “macho” no son los seres con pene, el macho es una construcción social, una forma de actuar, pensar y ejercer violencia.

Believe it or not, Macho culture in Spain and in other latin countries can be damaging for men too (high levels of child abuse, peer pressure to act a certain way, high levels of men on men violence, high levels of femicide, etc). Believe me, Spanish men are not even close to running the risk of even becoming hen pecked soy boys (doubt they will ever be), but latin societies face a lot of problems due to some negative aspects of Macho culture.
