Someone made an interesting argument that it's because woman say they want a certain type of man, but when they get him they're not interested and find him boring, but rather than leaving him and the benefits he provides, they go and cheat. It's only when they get caught that they finally decide to leave, and if they're married it's a huge benefit for them. I wish had the full clip I seen but yea, it was an interesting point, especially since almost every woman who's ever cheated that I see, the excuse is always "I was unhappy". Which is code for "I was bored". I don't understand why people still get married these days. There's no benefit in it for men at all.

My perspective- cause today it is socially acceptable, there's no bad consequence. 50-80 years ago a cheating wife would be socially rejected. Today? "Oh, it must have been her husband! He was an asshole, and didn't give her what she needed!"

Idk why women think it's cool to cheat. I am a woman but I look down on cheating by either sex, and I wouldn't knowingly stay friends with a woman who cheats on her man.

My husband is fantastic, and if I ever had a problem that caused my mind to wander, I'd look instead at the actual reason why instead of escaping it through an affair, which is what I think most people do. My husband is my best friend, and I plan to stay with him always, even when we are old and wrinkly.

If I want more money, I can work more (I'm part time for now) once my kids are older, or try writing a book, or whatever. He'd be supportive of me building a bit of my own with him. I appreciate him working so hard rn so I can have children and be very involved with them. And thank goodness his job is hybrid so he can also be around the family more.

Not sure I agree with your premise, but here is my take based on life experience.

What women want in a spouse or partner is not usually the same thing as what prompts a sexual response. Yes, they can be turned on by a good partner, but sexual attraction for women is in their mind as much as anything else. And the same guy isn't going to create that sexual tension/emotion after a certain number of years.

Almost every woman I know has had sex (or really wanted to) with guys because they couldn't resist, but would never be in a relationship with those guys. They knew that what was attracting them to those guys also makes those guys shitty partners.

Yes, this is a generalization. I know. But there are articles in women's magazines that talk about this. We've all seen the one where they recommend having affairs to keep their marriage healthy so she can scratch the itch and then still be happy with her husband.

Yes. My sister had a 3 year affair and told me about it while it was going on. She felt zero risk because she married her husband for security and to get out of our abusive home. She didn’t love her husband and saw it as her right to pursue romance. If her husband found out no big deal he’ll just have to pay her alimony.

And in the past many of those rules were not a thing.

Outside the west. If you're married and you break it off you don't get privileges like you are still together. Only the West has that.

Many places don't even have child support and all that as a thing. Just makes both men and women have to be critical and vet your partner before you have kids. The government is not in your bed room anywhere as much as it is in the West.

They simply want the best workers they can get.

Where exactly did this stat come from? I mean women have zero effort to get laid. Not sure this is relevant, but I find myself home ( like a house frau) might change in a few months, but I have been home for 3 months now and going out of my mind. The quickest answer to that is that women tend to have a weaker yet more complex psychological system than men (pure biology).
Also, females enjoy orgasm, unlike males, who naturally become melancholic after one; is what I would say if I didn't know it is only just the tip of the iceberg.

It's the thing. You can tell this from their history by the way. And it's really not specific to women.

If someone is hedonistic, believe me, sexual monogamy will create repression for them. Trust me on this. I know my friends say a lot of stupid shit but the thing is they made me realize this. I'm naturally hedonistic but I am always willing to give it up for the one but that one has to be well tested - not just anyone - the one who can understand meaning of relationships, sacrifice and the fact that it's going to be a battle which we're both going to have to fight together against the rest of the world. Even if we fight with each other, we fight because we know that the other person isn't giving us their full self.

Now I get that I'm into SM relationship but that doesn't mean that any sub will just go hump another Dom tomorrow just cuz it's more exciting. That excitement goes away when you marry because believe it or not there's always someone who's hot and mysterious and charming and charismatic out there. It's true. But it's that territorial nature of ours that changes things because even if it's a one time thing, because obviously anyone wants to bang someone hot, you'll end up hurting your partner. Hedonistic people also have impulsive tendencies. Not many of them will be able to contain their pent up desires. Believe me, it takes a lot of restraint to not do things.

Rewards and Punishments are how all animals are trained. If they are not trained by one person/system, they will be trained by another person/system. We all want to maximize pleasure and minimize pain. Women would be stupid not to cheat/ chat up/ divorce their partner—and do it all over again. Seeing that the generosity of nice men and the government is limitless.
