I hate how, mainly men, are fixated on someone's body count.

I don't have a personal stake in this discussion at all, and my dating life is fantastic, but I'm annoyed by how illogical it is.

It seems extremely weird that people should be penalized simply because they don't meet someone that they like, as having a long-term relationship keeps body counts down. Just because someone hasn't found someone they like, long-term, they suck? Great, lol.

It also seems like a ridiculous way to judge people, as sex drives vary greatly by person. Some people want to have sex once a month, or less, and others get irritable if they don't have it everyday. It's like judging someone for eating too much peanutbutter, but you don't even like peanutbutter.

People fixate on STIs/STDs, which is fair, but honestly being in a long-term relationship puts you at risk for a more damaging STD because you don't feel the need to get regularly checked.

I also feel like this all just goes to the simple concept of being angry that people enjoyed their lives before you.

I suppose there are people who have reckless sex lives, but why does that have to mean they're inherently bad people, rather than people coping with limited skills?

Men, also seem upset when people lie about body counts to them. But they have literally no way of actually gaging them. Wouldn't that also be an indicator that they don't matter at all?

Idk. The "Red flags" of promiscuous people are addressed, but here are the red flags of people overly fixated on body counts:

- Controlling

- Sexually conservative

-Risk (not always) of being blatantly bad at sex due to a fear of not measuring up

-Possessive/insecure

-Regressive ideas on gender roles (depending on your career aspirations)
