First of all, dont get me wrong. I'm not saying that cheating is okay, but the reality is that considering the human condition, its almost inevitable. People in relationships generally don't genuinely love each other. Their love is almost always dependent on something like resources, sex and so on. And because of this, cheating is inevitable because there will always be someone with more resources, or someone who is more attractive and so on. And since most relationships are transactional, people will always be drawn to someone who they think will give them something better in the transaction.

For example, many women value getting resources from men. Obviously, there's always gonna be a much richer man than the man she's with, so it's inevitable that some woman somewhere will cheat when she comes accross a man who she thinks has more resources (or is more attractive). And since men generally tend to value physical appearance and accessibility to sex, there will always be a more attractive woman and if the man is attractive enough or has enough money/resources, there will always be a more attractive woman who is willing to have sex with him more often. All this is the natural conclusion to human relationships being transactional.

Obviously, genuine relationships aren't transactional, whether people want to acknowledge that or not. But as long as most people see relationships as being transactional in whatever form, cheating is basically inevitable because you can always get a better 'deal' in the transaction. So I'm not saying that cheating is okay (if you respond as if that's what im saying, I'll know you didn't read the post), im just saying that its inevitable when people approach relationships from a transactional perspective.
