On average men work more hours per week in paid labor than women...overall 10 more hours per week! Men work more hours of paid labor even when there are no children under 18!

So men should just cut their hours to the same number as their partner, and then divide household work exactly equally.

What if the relationship doesn't work out?

Don't move in together until marriage, and have the discussion up front.
