Misogyny of the whole gender? Hell no, I like women as a whole. If you hate the whole gender is basically focusing to where the problem is, the person doing it.

The reason for misogyny is simply, and I forget the official term, but group think sort of tribalism. You got mugged by black guys, you hate black guys, you get screwed over by a woman, you hate women, you didn't get valedictorian to a Chinese boy you hate them too. Its easy to assign blame to a group mentally when that group isn't yours. Its why racism is so easy. I've been screwed over by white men but as one I don't think "I hate white men" I just hate "that guy".

So basically some guy can't get laid or has a shitty woman fuck him over once or twice and he now hates women because its easier than blaming himself or blaming bad choices.

I would rather ask "is the claim that someone is misogynist ever justified? Can we truly claim something is fuelled purely in the hatred of women?"

What I typically see are men being disgusted or repelled by female ways, and that's often labelled misogyny. However you can see everyday women being disgusted and repelled by male sexuality and male ways, yet no one ever suggests it is fuelled in the hatred of men as a whole.

It seems fairly natural to me that people are not going to like sexual strategies that are concurrent and meant to diminish their returns.

There's a world of difference between hating women (i.e. misogyny) and coming to the realization that women are far less perfect and far more flawed then you previously thought. Indeed its easier to love women in the long term without those unreasonable expectations.

Do people really need to have justification if their past history is filled with negative experiences with the opposite sex, or anything really?

If we are all “products of our past experiences,” then it would seem reasonable to me that someone would have a reaction from it or to it. I wouldn’t expect them to suffer happily like some devout religious person.

To a certain degree, yes. A lot of women in western society are just awful, despicable human beings. These women then have the audacity to assume men are "controlling" them and that "society" is oppressing them as women because men either individually or collectively can look at their character and accurately conclude that those women are bad people based on their conduct. Women in the west are free to behave as they wish, and men are free to judge them however we see fit. Call that misogyny and whine on reddit about a prude traditional society and have everyone circlejerk with you, still, there's nothing inherently wrong with judging women for their nasty conduct when it does happen. Women are not victims of a conservative society just because some guys may not like what they do.

I don't think misogyny is ever justified, but I don't think feeling resentment towards women is the same as misogyny, because you can feel resentment, be aware that your resentment isn't healthy, and avoid acting and speaking in ways that are misogynistic, but if you care that much you would work to understand why you shouldn't feel resentment towards women.

Being a bit resentful of women is not the same as being misogynic. In any case, you never have to justify your feelings. It's perfectly fine to hate women (or men, or rich people, or poor people, or children, or old geezers, or Trump voters, or people from Manchester, or whatever group of people), as long as you don't act on it in a way which harms them.

Incidentally, I always found it slightly amusing the way some people like to describe themselves as misanthropic - but get all outraged if somebody appears to be misogynic or racist or whatever. Like its supposed to be better to hate all people than to just hate a small subset of people.

Also, why don't autists not just find other autists to have relationships with? That way you can be all autistic together. And marvel at the 1978 British train time table or some such thing.

Mysogyny is hatred of women. Hatred means you really wish bad for them and sometimes try to fulfil those wishes. Wishing bad for people is never good. and so are actions trying to fulfil hateful wishes.

I never blame anyone and so are those guys who are resentful towards women. Being resentful, though, does not imply hatred.

When men hate women its because they have to share space with them, or because women won't have sex with them. Those aren't justifiable reasons to hate somebody. And yet, I know women who have been sexually violated and they don't hold it against men as a whole. Or if they do, they keep it to themselves. They aren't out to make men suffer.

A man can live a life completely devoid of women if he really wanted to. Women who want nothing to do with men don't get to have that same luxury.

Its a term that gets so overused that I'd need an example. I can make an observation related to women that is actually a negative about men and get instantly labeled that way. I can also just cite data that people dont like.

I would say no. I think it happens, and that we should be understanding of people who receive hurt and scars, and realize that the path back from that does not usually involve telling them what a shit they are for it. But aside from an emotional issue, no, there's no rational basis to be angry at all women for your experiences with some women.

90% of misogyny has nothing to with religious extremism or other irrelevant bullshit. Very rarely does the guy that every girl wants hate women. It's not necessarily fair, but it's a simple equation. Girls don't want to fuck guy, they constantly talk about guys they do fuck, they're in a privileged position in dating, etc. It's not really the girl's fault but unless if you walked in his shoes you wouldn't get it. One girl not having sex with you is fine, but usually these guys are getting no sex. Unironically the best way to kill misogyny is pussy, at least in America. It's not actually hate, it's pain disguised as hate.

Edit: to clarify there's no way to "justify" hate or resentment because it's an emotion, not really a conscious choice. It may still be morally wrong to hate but still. Obviously hard core misogyny is bad, but resentment is okay. We're only human aftercall.

It depends on what definition of misogyny you're looking at. If you consider it misogynistic that men recognize that women are the physically weaker sex then we can have a discussion. If we're talking about the real version of misogyny, (Ex: Middle Eastern Society) it's absolutely unacceptable.

The western's modern social definition of "misogyny" is completely justified. There are differences between women and men, the wage gap doesn't exist, there is no "rape culture", #metoo has caused more harm than good, women have privileges legally that men do not. These are all facts. Whatever is factual that you form your opinions on is usually justifiable.

Every day, women screw men over and often times, do not recognize it. Men are played by women. Some of it is their fault for not recognizing their character and overall chasing tail but it still is not acceptable on the women's part. Because of it, men can become angry and cynical of women easily. Usually, it's fine.

If one does not understand women, their behaviors are unpredictable and it becomes difficult to structure positive interactions with them.

If it is mistreat or hinder of women based with the intent of hindering or mistreating them as a goal it cannot be justified.

But if it only the act of hindering or mistreating women, it can be justified in some cases such as self defense and others like 'your ex cheated on you and you kick her out of your home' thing.

Feminists introduced so many meanings to so many words, with so wide range of thing, there is no way to be sure what you mean by 'misogyny'. Like for example: feminists put misogyny in being called a 'crazy' or emotionally driven when it is actually was her behavior in the situation. So I don't even know what it means anymore.

Also, don't forget that are people who mistreat everyone. Those are not misogynists. Those are misanthropes (hate people, not women).

Setting aside that I don't even really know what "misogyny" means anymore because it's been applied equally to everything from Elliott Rodgers to pricier women's hair products (versus men's)...

Of course it's understandable. If you perceive a group as having victimized or attacked you, I think it's probably pretty normal to start to resent or hate them. I think the more important question is does it achieve anything? Ultimately, women are individuals, and it doesn't make a ton of sense to hate one woman for another woman's wrongdoings... not to mention being bitter and angry at women becomes a miserable self-fulfilling prophecy.

So while I get the "red pill anger phase", it needs to pass in time, in order for a man to be relatively functional. Blanket loathing of half the population isn't logical and it isn't useful.
