Women have a huge amount of space to work with their personal style. Personal style is the way we try to present ourselves to the world.

I’m going to make very different assumptions about what you’re like if you’ve got a septum piercing, tattoos and a beaten up leather jacket than if you’re wearing a twin-set and pearls. And that’s a huge factor in attraction.

Some extreme personal appearance choices will detract negatively from a woman’s appearance but positive personal appearance choices don’t factor much into my attraction. If she’s naturally attractive then she’s attractive to me without good hair or makeup.

I'm fine with tattoos, a few piercings and not necessarily fitting into a size zero (last one is actually kind of a preference). But what I can't take is overly ghetto attitudes. Being loud and obnoxious, unnecessarily rude - you get the idea. Sure, I can be friends with women like that (and am), but I couldn't take it beyond that.

Most guys who say tattoos are ugly, say that women in their 30s, who look like they are in their 50s look ugly with tattoos. A young and pretty 20 year old who has tattoos is attractive. Even more attractive than without them... but will only be so for as long as they are pretty, if they let themselves go, it becomes ugly, same with tight outfits and cropped outfits...

Look like you put some care in and you'll be fine. So if you dye your hair make sure it doesn't just look like you spilled KoolAid on it a month ago. If you have tattoos put some effort into an actual design, don't just spam your body with clipart. Clothes should fit and actually work for your body shape and size.

Basically all the same advice that goes to men regarding this stuff. And it's the same advice because it's pretty well universal. It's basic "how not to look like trash" stuff.

Hair:

From a facial aesthetics perspective, alot, since every person on earth has a different face shape. So everyone should have a hairstyle that compliments their face shape. Some girls can pull short, med, or long styles that others cannot. Some girls can pull off bangs while others cannot. Etc. I don't have a specific preference just whatever fits their specific face shape. I've seen chicks that I had a crush on go from 7s to 5s with a bad hairstyle that didnt fit their face shape lol

Style:

As long as they have a basic fashion sense, it's cool. But if they have a good body, I think they should buy clothes that compliments their body.

Mannerisms:

Mannerisms is personally the most important out of all these 3. Like I've seen women who I find attractive go from 8s to 4s because they come off masculine. Completely losing interest. But there was this one time where this one girl I didn't find that attractive (average looking) that I gained attraction for because she was extremely feminine. She was soft-spoken, polite, petite, etc. I never had that happen before but it made me realize how women being feminine and embracing their femininity makes up alot of attraction for me (and im sure most guys).

Personally I do not like the goth look and too long of nails. And certain piercings like septum piercings really turn me off while I kind of like ear piercings and generally really like belly button piercings for whatever reason. The “baddie” look might be sexually appealing to me, but generally it’s not a woman I could take seriously unless maybe it’s a very rare occasion she presents herself that way.

When I was a teenager, I loved everything that women did with their appearance. Tattoos, piercings, hair dye, ultra-bright contact lenses, skin-tight clothes, short hair, long hair in a bun, long wavy hair, long curled hair, natural-looking makeup, fluorescent neon rainbow makeup, tank tops, fishnet sleeves, business-style blouses, sundresses. Everything beyond a bland t-shirt and jeans seemed awesome and interesting.

Around the age of 25 things flipped and I had a crush on a girl because (among other things) she, being around my age, had unpierced ears, which was basically an unprecedented rarity.

Currently, I'm happily partnered up, but if I was single, I don't think my priorities would go anywhere beyond "don't be an insufferable hideous bitch"; this is something that no hip-to-waist ratio or skin texture or evening dress, no matter how perfect, can fix. I love women who are friendly to me and who like to spend time with me, who are easy to entertain, who find my silly jokes charming, my knowledge and area of interest at least curious, and my gifts cute and stylish but also useful.

Screw everything else.

In general, say there’s this hypothetical woman, healthy weight, hourglass body shape, conventionally attractive face.

You are on to something here. You nailed the "big three".

Men fundamentally look for three things:

I. A .7 Waist To Hips Ratio. The "hourglass" figure. This is the "Don't be fat" part. It's important.

II. Facial symmetry. We refer to this as "beauty". It tells us you are healthy and will make viable offspring.

III. Long, silky hair. The length and condition of a woman's hair is like a health record from the way long ago that tells us a lot of a girl's condition and such. So a girl can grow out her hair to as long as possible, and maintain it in good condition.

Too much "weird shit" - shrapnel (piercings) and graffiti (tattoos) and fucked up hair (unnatural color, cut too short) scream "I AM FUCKING MENTALLY ILL!" to us, which means that she's going to be a pain in the ass plus your kids with her might also be mental.

If a girl has good style that's a plus but it's not the main deal. It's nice when a girl is well-put together, though.

Good manner(ism)s tell us that a girl is socially well adapted which is another plus, but not on the same level as her figure, etc.

What else? Shower once a day and don't be a total pain in the ass to be around. Be cheerful and not demanding and guys will want to be around you.

Masculine hair cuts,sure shaved bald crazy colors and unatural looking weaves are a complete turn of I immediately think "mentally unstable this goes for piercings anywhere besides the ears or if there's to many of them,I saw a chick with 10 in each ear...excessive Tatoos ,especially in visible areas face neck feet hands or sleeves..long finger claws eyelashes

Those older men are lying. Sure whatever moralizing they are doing may stop them from having a relationship with that kind of woman if they are disciplined enough. But those women are hitting all the lustful markers and if they threw themselves at these men, most of them will bite.

Presentation most likely will not affect whether I find her attractive but will affect whether I want a relationship with her. Example, a woman wearing revealing clothing will look attractive, but I would not entertain her.

Turn-offs

> Tattoos. Doesn't matter how great the tattoo looks or how meaningful it is to her.

> Revealing clothing. I do not want a woman who is comfortable wearing see-through yoga pants out in public.

> Too many piercings. I prefer ear piercings only. Ideally not more than 2 per ear.

> Baggy clothing. She needs to care about how she presents herself. Most feminine women I have met prioritise presentation over comfort. If she cares about comfort more than how she presents herself that would be a turnoff. (By the way, this does not mean she needs to wear skintight clothing, she should wear well fitted clothing for her body)

I actually like piercings, doesn't bother me. Generally I'm a fan of a girl who tends to be a little plain. Hair shoulder length a longer, average style (plain or graphic shirts, jeans, converse or vans for shoes etc.?). A girl that has nice mannerisms, fun to just relax and talk with.

But that's just me, and preferences don't mean much tbh. Last girl I dated was emo af, the opposite of my described preferences.

Sofia Vergara would be gorgeous in a pony tail and jeans + t-shirt…her wearing some fancy heels and some fancy dress…wouldn’t make her more sexy…would give her the air of higher maintenance though. Unless I was at a black tie event.

I despise the "bimbo" look and mannerisms. Overly done hair, fake lips (ugh), expensive brand clothes that scream vanity and shallowness and, of course, the entitled attitude of expecting everything in life handed to her and main character syndrome. I also hate faces completely covered in make up. I'm not saying i like natural faces because I'm sure the women here would retort that "the faces men consider natural still have make up on them" but excessive makeup is a turn off.

Other things that would turn her unattractive are too many tattoos, septum rings, buzzcut/bald haircut and cursing too much. The punk look i guess.

Apart from that, i don't care if they dress lazily, or if their hair is unkempt. Sure, a mice dress is pretty but just wearing baggy tracksuits has its charm too. The mannerisms I'm attracted to are a laid back attitude, modesty, politeness, self control and humbleness.
