True alpha men are extremely rare

This is an observation of mine that needs a lot of convincing to change. I have observed plenty of circumstances with men of various ages and also from cultures that are considered so called patriarchal. Men that fit the stereotype of the alpha male, for example dominant, asserting, not giving a shit about the opinions of others etc are extremely rare. Most younger men will pretend to be alpha to get what they want, but women are good at seeing through the mask. If anything, women have honed their ability to assess and filter men beyond ways we can imagine. Then there are the many other young men who show some true alpha traits, but tend to lose frame rapidly. Those are the men who brag about past badassery and sexual conquests, but currently, when in a relationship or married, seem to be passive and unable to make decisions. They also tend to neglect their appearance and lose shape. We tend to notice that married women neglect their appearance, but really men have it worse. This change reaches its pinnacle in older age, when women are usually vibrant, active, social, optimistic and carefree, whereas men are just constantly complaining shells of their former selves, riddled with health issues and waiting to die. This is very disturbing if you think about it, yet it is completely accepted. Of course it can make sense according to evolution. Even in animals, the alpha male doesn’t often rule for long, and he is often deposed. He can die or sometimes he can reassert himself. Alpha male chimps don’t last more than two years usually. It is a high reward, but also extremely high risk strategy. My main issue isn’t that few alpha men exist, but that so many men pretend to be alpha, while in fact they are not. Also, those so cold alpha men don’t always disregard women as it is said. I know plenty of those types, aggressive, unapologetic, tease girls openly and so on, yet if a high value woman Dumps them, they bend over backwards to win her back. This is also quite common in men of cultures that are considered supposedly masculine, such as middle Easterners and Romani. Many times they succeed, but their behavior can be quite pathetic in the meantime. What is your input on it? Have you ever met a true, natural alpha? I have not. I am sure that a few exist somewhere, but I don’t know where they are.
