I can still hear the sizzle coming off that burn.

What does it mean actually i didn't understand the answer

[–]Tafu47 737 points738 points739 points 5 years ago (170 children) | Copy Link

She doesnt have a father, thats why she believes in "kill all men"

Daddy issues

[–]waslookoutforchris 510 points511 points512 points 5 years ago (134 children) | Copy Link

I did not really understand how serious daddy issues were until I dated a girl whose father abandoned her. Hole eee sheeet. Never again will I go there.

[–]ChrisInDetroit2020 305 points306 points307 points 5 years ago (40 children) | Copy Link

I had a similar experience, it started of fantastically because many of them are desperate to keep a man in their life, so EVERYTHING was on the menu.

Then, psycho drama

In retrospect, worth it.

[–]MrB0mbastic 253 points254 points255 points 5 years ago (33 children) | Copy Link

Dude some bros say never stick your dick in crazy.

But it's fine to stick your dick in crazy.

It's just not okay to let crazy know were you live.

[–]EveryOptionSucks 81 points82 points83 points 5 years ago (20 children) | Copy Link

For real. If you do the one night stand thing, insist on going back to her place. I messed that up once and ended up with the word f*g graffitied on my truck. Nothing bad happened between us, we didn't exchange phone numbers, never ran into at the bar again... Just crazy.

[–]FatWookie67 35 points36 points37 points 5 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Brick thru the windshield for me ... much easier fix than a graffitied trk ... tbh I just wanted to type 'graffitied' again

[–]EveryOptionSucks 14 points15 points16 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Lol That truck was a beater so I just emptied a couple rattle cans over it. Never heard from the nut weasel again. I feel ya, brother. 'Graffitied' is a pretty cool word.

[–]awwyouknow4 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You fellas mind if I jump in to say if my truck got graffitied, I’d probably go make it so her truck got graffitied too.

Graffitied is a just sweet word :)

[–]EveryOptionSucks2 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

More the merrier! We're gonna get real weird with it!

I feel you. If I knew how to find her, I likely would have taken her valve stems, smashed them, and left them on the hood. How's that for an inconvenience, you fucking cow? Lol

[–]awwyouknow3 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

OOOH DAAAAMN $17 in new stems and a ride on a flat bed! Honestly that’s the way to do it, not emptying someone’s bank account but still enough annoyance to show scorn.

It’s...it’s beautiful

[–]EveryOptionSucks3 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I'm sincerely pleased that you appreciate the subtle balance between aggravated pettiness and subdued vengeance.

Also, I'd read all her emails and spit on her desk!

[–]Douche_McNugget 9 points10 points11 points 5 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Are you me? Mine keyed the same word into mine

[–]justhad2login2reply 6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Did you guys have no cigarettes to bum them?

[–]EveryOptionSucks3 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

LOL Took too long to get your joke. Nah, no cigs. Kind of an extreme reaction for any reason.

[–]EveryOptionSucks 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Jesus. I'd have taken a grinder to that. Unless your truck is nice. Then I'd be pissed.

[–]Douche_McNugget2 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Its an older Tacoma. Honestly, I forget its there all the time because the truck is usually dirty. I only notice when I clean it, which isn't very often.

[–]EveryOptionSucks1 point 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Mine was a beat up farm truck, '93 F-150. I just meant if it was nice, a person might care a lot more about how it looked. I certainly didn't. Lol Half the fucker didn't work when I bought it. Kinda loved it anyway. I got it with a mix tape of Willie Nelson and Conway Twitty in the tape deck. Smelled like hay and dust. Fond memories, mi amino.

[–]Douche_McNugget2 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Your F-150 has got a whole personality. Mine was sold to me before it became the household beater. it had the clear coat on one side peeling off due to what i think was an insane amount of hard water and harsh Permian Basin sunlight. Thats another reason why its kinda hard to see. Kinda like a tattoo someone got as a joke when they were younger and has started getting it lasered off.

[–]excess_inquisitivity 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

If you do the one night stand thing, insist on going back to her place.

But do NOT sleep there. You don't know what she has planned for your unconscious body.

Ever seen Audition?https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audition_(1999_film)

[–]EveryOptionSucks 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well. I suppose I'm watching that tonight. Too bad I don't have a girl to watch it with. That would probably up the tension.

I did have a weird experience with this. I woke up at her place. I don't really know her very well. She is gone. I text, get no response. Eat her food, shower, message her that I'm robbing her place. Finally responds with something like lol, I had to go to work. No problem, but still weird to me.

[–]Goatslasagne 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

[–]Goatslasagne2 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

All you gotta do is put on your shoes 🏃‍♂️

[–]EveryOptionSucks1 point 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Lol You're real, my friend. Give me a couple of minutes, I'm just going to the bathroom. Then jump off the balcony. I mean, in desperate times, you might even think, "Fuck it, I have more shoes at home."

[–]snipefest103 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You got lucky, cause you ain’t paying the hooker to fuck you, you’re paying them to leave.

Whoa, whoa, whoa man not cool, you can't--- ah hell who am I kidding....I've been there too. 🤷‍♂️

[–]Nightttfury 13 points14 points15 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

My only two girlfriends (4 years and 2 year long relationships) both had absent fathers and there always seemed to be psycho drama.

I can't help but think maybe, just maybe my relationships would be better if this weren't the case.

[–]GayyFieri 18 points19 points20 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I dated a girl for a few months that always talked about her dead father so much it was part of her personality; 'The poor woman that misses her dead father' She would constantly bring him up, mention him at every opportunity and a number of times out of nowhere she'd get quiet and when I asked something she's snap out of it and say she was just thinking about her father. She'd talk about how different her life would be if her father was still alive and in it...Though he died years before she still brought him up several times a day.

After we broke up she took a trip to meet some friends and I checked in on her social media and found current photos of her smiling and hugging her father.

I don't know what the fuck kind of daddy issues those were but she was insane

[–]cygnae 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

and hugging her father.

Can u tell the story I’m bored in class

[–]Calico_Cuttlefish1 points 5 years ago* [recovered] (16 children) | Copy Link

I met a girl in Virginia on vacation. Took her out, got a hotel. Turns out she had mad dad issues and it was the anniversary of his death.

The sex was strange. Lots of the word Daddy and spanking and some crying.

Over all 8/10 do not regret.

[–]mom-rider 26 points27 points28 points 5 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

Who the hell goes to Virginia for vacation that place is boring and that is pretty wired

[–]lvdude72 12 points13 points14 points 5 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

It’s for lovers.

[–]Calico_Cuttlefish1 points 5 years ago* [recovered] (4 children) | Copy Link

Hell yes it is.

Those Navy lasses, slim long legged single moms and gingers with daddy issues of Virginia arent going to satidy themselves!

[–]nova465 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Wait what? Gingers with daddy issues? I need to spend more time in Virginia apparently.

[–]lvdude722 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Indeed!

[–]ThegreatPee3 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Hell yea, brother. Spent four years stationed at Norfolk in the 90's. Nothing but grunge and emo chicks. It was like a buffet of hot chicks with daddy issues. 9/10 would do again.

[–]Calico_Cuttlefish1 points 5 years ago* [recovered] (5 children) | Copy Link

I was going up the east coast from Georgia, partially on the AT.

We made a pit stop in Virginia.

Don't regret it at all. Got more female attention in 3 weeks there than I got in 3 years in Seattle.

[–]Generation-X-Cellent 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

That's because no one ever moves there but people are constantly moving out. Girls jump at the chance to broaden their family tree.

[–]bananabot600824_y0 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Yes but Seattle has rain

[–]SendVeganPics 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Probably for cheap place to live in while u vacation DC, some parts are nice though like Charlottesville (most of the time)

[–]Sohcahtoa82 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I go to Virginia for two reasons:

King's Dominion

Busch Gardens Williamsburg

There's also a place where they re-enact colonial Williamsburg, but I haven't been there since the early 90's when I went there on a field trip. Also, according to a Chuck Palahniuk book, the people that work at places like that fuck like crazy.

[–]Corrixis 4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I do have to say, most of the girls with daddy issues are indeed insane, but the sex. My god

[–]Igotapickleheyheyhey 137 points138 points139 points 5 years ago (31 children) | Copy Link

I have a story for you. It’s pretty sad but I knew this girl that was dating a mutual friend of mine. He told us this time when they were having sex, she wanted him to jerk off onto the floor and she would lick it up and say “can I have more daddy?” Turns out her dad would do this to her. Daddy issues are nuts. Poor girl.

It does seem that often trauma victims have a subconscious compulsion to recreate/repeat their trauma.

She probably needed some serious psychiatric help though.

[–]mississippi_dan 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This is quite common. The mind is trying to process what happened and in order to do so, it needs to relive it. There is also a sexual component because we quite often intermingle sex and love. I am sure she didnt feel great about it.

[–]MrB0mbastic 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's a bitter truth isn't it.

Our brains are fucking weird.

[–]EveryOptionSucks 10 points11 points12 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yikes. That's at once horrifying and depressing. People can be so terrible to each other.

[–][deleted] 15 points16 points17 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ooo that's terribly fucking inappropriate and I hope her father is in jail or worse.

[–]Santa1936 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The most disturbing part of this is that of she did that to me I'd be so turned on until she told me why she liked it. Holy shot that's fucked

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points12 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No one's gonna say that's pretty hot? Not the fact that her dad did it. Without that part of the story, it's hot.

[–]WrathofKuhn1 points 5 years ago [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link

Your friend sounds like a piece of shit for sharing that with you.

[–]Igotapickleheyheyhey 4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I have done traumatizing events from when I was younger-last thing I want to do is reenact them in the bedroom...,, I’m sorry but that’s bullshit

[–]CommentsOnlyWhenHigh 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That's actually common. Believing that no one else does because you don't is some willfully ignorant bullshit.

[–]Brovid-2019 4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't know much about psychology but I wouldn't exactly associate the fallout of trauma to be rational and/or predictable.

[–]Igotapickleheyheyhey 6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Believe what you want, dunno what to tell ya mate, I’m just repeating a story I was told 🤷🏾‍♀️

[–]hellraisinhardass 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

No. Her re-enacting it can be a way for her to feel like she's gaining control of a situation that she previously had zero control, this is a coping mechanism. Things like this are not uncommon at all.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It can be horse shit too, things like that are not uncommon at all.

[–]Guglielmowhisper 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Severe pain fetishists and childhood medical issues is a common one.

[–]vjibomb 28 points29 points30 points 5 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

I used to date a girl and everytime I got pissed about something (not at her or anything) she'd pull my pants down and jerk me off, apparently her dad made her do that all the time.

[–]BustinMakesMeFeelMeh 15 points16 points17 points 5 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

I mean I guess that’s a win for you at least.

[–]vjibomb 21 points22 points23 points 5 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

Yeah I really don't see it that way man, she did it because she felt like she had to and that's just fucked up. This was a few years ago and I still fantasise about glassing her dad.

If you want some of the craziest sex of your life girls with daddy issues are excellent. Although it’s all the craziness between the sex that gets scary. Like anytime something bad happens it will be like “well my dad already abandoned me so I’m not even surprised this is happening” 😬

[–]sadboykvlt 25 points26 points27 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This to a T! One of my ex had Borderline Personality Disorder and she also had some abandonment issues from her dad but the sex was great. She wanted to have rough aggressive sex pretty frequently but one time she got me to choke her till in her own words "the room was turning green" and she squirted a lot from it so

[–]coquish98 7 points8 points9 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Been there, my ex-gf was part of her dad's second ongoing family, so the guy had his official family, wife and 4 kids, and a side family of my ex and her mother, which he saw only on Tuesdays.

Man, the trust issues in that relationship were huge

[–]Gaslov2 4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Truly then, whose fault is this that created this situation?

[–]Lurker_IV[🍰] 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I shortly dated a girl whose daddy was killed by a serial killer when she was 12. Serious daddy issues.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I dated a girl who's father left her family and it just made her way more responsible. If anything she didn't take any shit. Guess she's the exception to the rule.

100% bro, they are not to be messed with. My ex with the daddy issues hit 30 last year, has two kids and still has not been in a relationship where she hasn't cheated.

[–]alphabachelor 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Same. Dated a girl with major daddy issues. What a crazy shitshow she is. Never again.

[–]Saskyle 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

People whose fathers abandoned them need love too..

[–]waslookoutforchris 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That’s the problem with Daddy issues though, they don’t feel they deserve love. They tend to chase men who are unavailable/abusive just like their father. If you actually care for them they will leave you. If you abuse them they will chase you. It’s impossible to love them because they don’t really know what love is.

Um. No.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 5 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

[–]Thefarrquad 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

Being able to do anything men do with out the judgement that they can't based on their gender.

Maybe you should go outside more.

[–][deleted] -2 points-1 points0 points 5 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

that's the definition, yes, but how does that translate into reality

[–]Thefarrquad3 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

More women in STEM, more women in professional sports, the erosion of gender roles, the ability to sustain their lifestyles on an equal footing and wage.

You really want me to say sex stuff but that happened way back in the 60s and 70s. Sex happens, maybe not for you, but time to move on lad.

[–][deleted]2 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Would you consider women who want to "kill all men" liberated?

[–]Thefarrquad2 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You are right.

No I consider them deluded and batshit mental.

[–][deleted]1 point 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

there's so many of them out there though. It's a cultural issue. I'm simply trying to figure out where it came from

[–]Thefarrquad2 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

There really aren't though. I've never met a single one. Even this girl, when expressing her view was laughed at by a close friend.

There are few but they are vocal online so now they are in the limelight. We can just ignore them and get on with our days.

[–][deleted]1 point 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

i must be extremely unfortunate then because I went to church and joined a bible group that was comprised of about 10 single women who literally wanted to kill me and ruin my life. Pretty much any politically active young liberal woman has a shitty attitude towards men. To me, they are everywhere. I've tried very hard to prove my own views of women wrong by putting myself out there but sadly doing so has only made things worse

[–]Thefarrquad2 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

[–][deleted]1 point 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

This might be weird and please feel free to say no, but can I ask what happened? I recently had my heart crushed by a girl who I know has had a hard time with her dad and she one said "I know I have Daddy issues" but it was kind of in passing. But god damn my emotions are on a rollercoaster and I want to know if I should just stop the ride and bail

[–]foster_remington-7 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

lol can you believe someone who was abandoned by one of their parents would have some issues?? that doesn't happen to men though lol they never become abusive alcoholics or kill themselves cuz they had a shitty dad

[–]Distant_Blackhole7 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Boys without fathers, especially in low income households, can take a turn for the worst. Not having someone there to teach you to be a man can end pretty badly because they shape themselves around the only male figures close to them, which would be friends (who could likely be in the exact same situation).

[–]Guglielmowhisper1 point 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Also girls that have bad relationships with their fathers are waaaaay more willing to have sex then girls that do. So my guess is she was very sexually active with multiple dudes and they all treated her like a whore. That’s why she hates men.

[–]wolfman1911 43 points44 points45 points 5 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link

I suppose that's probably true, but it's probably simpler to just say that her hatred of men stem from her daddy issues.

[–]rounced 44 points45 points46 points 5 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

That is what OP is saying really, just taking it to the next logical step and saying her daddy issues led to a lot of promiscuity. Not trying to shame anyone for that, people can do what they want, but that type of behavior tends to lead to a lot of resentment towards men.

[–]Snakes-Vendetta 8 points9 points10 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Its also the best friend that knows best. Always hyping you up and down playing any stable relationship.

[–]Santa1936 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yep. A red flag I've learned about the hard way is when a girl's best friend is a bit of a ho.

Sucks because the girl can be a super sweet, stable, healthy person, but any time you have any relationship problems, she's going to talk to the best friend about them, and the best friend is going to give advice from the same place that drives her own bad decisions.

Not saying all ho-ey girls are that way because they're not healthy, but I'd certainly argue most are.

[–]UnfinishedProjects1 points 5 years ago [recovered] (13 children) | Copy Link

We have no evidence of promiscuity based solely on this video.

[–]TFWnoLTR 14 points15 points16 points 5 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

Yes we do. She said her father isn't in her life. That's a strong causal indicator. Women without fathers tend to be desperate for positive male attention in their early adulthood, and the easiest way to get that is to have sex with men.

It may be an inconvenient fact, but its a fact nonetheless.

[–]UnfinishedProjects1 points 5 years ago [recovered] (11 children) | Copy Link

Saying your father is not in your life is not a definitive 100% bonafide guarantee that a woman is promiscuous? My wife's father was never in her life for a second, and I was the first person she's ever slept with.

What you're saying is NOT a fact. It's an opinion.

[–]Techmoji10 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

women without fathers tend to

It’s a statistic, not an opinion, and not some law of the universe that must be obeyed.

[–]ChanoMeetGW1 point 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

And would you happen to have proof of this statistic?

[–]Techmoji5 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I don’t mean to sound like an asshat, but just google it. It’s something like 4-6 times more likely than a girl who has a father. Not even including homelessness and abuse. There are studies everywhere done by everyone.

I’m sure there’s a statistic for men without fathers (or father figures in a community) as well, though if I had to guess I’d say it’s they’re more abusive or something like that. I haven’t looked it up however

[–]hellraisinhardass6 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Don't get defensive. This dude is not calling your wife a whore. He is simply stating a very easily observable and correct fact that LOTS of women without father figures seek male attention in any way possible, including lots of casual sex. He is not passing judgement, he didn't say that is the case for all women without fathers, just that it is common.

He's insinuating that her hatred of men comes from her having a bad relationship with her father.

Not a bad theory imo. A lot of times men with women issues also have mommy issues. Makes sense to me.

[–]CrimsonBolt33 26 points27 points28 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Yes, people tend to date around these issues as well...the primary idea (subconscious, mind you so most people don't realize they are doing it) being that if we date someone like our mother/father and they love us and treat us well and all that good stuff it will undo the pain and damage of a bad relationship with the parent.

Kids are wired to need and get love and form strong bonds with their parents. When this doesn't happen it can really alter the trajectory of their psychological development and life.

[–]Neuchacho 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

A lot of people end up with people who have shades of one or both parents even when their relationship with them is good. The difference is they aren't seeking that to fill in for missing affection so much as it is indicative of having a preference for what's familiar.

[–]CrimsonBolt33 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

My comment was not meant to be all inclusive...otherwise I would be writing whole psychology books on Reddit and no one is paying me to do that shit.

My point was aimed at the most common examples (which is people essentially filling a void)

This "void" can literally have no impact or even a positive impact on ones life, though, most often it has the impact of attempting to fill that void to some degree, at least until said person becomes aware of said "void" and works to actively fill it in a positive manner. Some people never even move into the negative space and fill it positively on their own (though this is very rare and usually requires a mentor or teacher of some sort)

[–]Davidlucas99 47 points48 points49 points 5 years ago (26 children) | Copy Link

[–]Joeaconda 41 points42 points43 points 5 years ago (25 children) | Copy Link

Daddy issues usually create strippers, Mommy issues usually create serial killers.

[–]knowses 4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]MrB0mbastic 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (21 children) | Copy Link

Mommy issues usually create uncles more then serial killers.

Daddy issues create female child abusers, female child molesters, female acts of domestic violence against their partners, female and male drug abusers, social decay and general lawless behavior.

Fathers, GOOD fathers, are more important then a mother.

[–]ChrisW828 4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

I'd say the trauma from that can swing in two directions - on one hand you've got the women who act out and become manipulators and abusers, the traditional "daddy issues" type, and on the other you get the women who just become meek and sheltered. The latter kind can be healed with enough love and support, but the former are broken and unsalvageable, at least not without sacrificing your own livelihood, which is never worth it.

Experienced both sides of that pendulum and I can say for sure which I prefer

[–]MrB0mbastic 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You are entirely correct.

[–]RregretableUsername1 points 5 years ago [recovered] (5 children) | Copy Link

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Yes

[–]RregretableUsername1 points 5 years ago [recovered] (3 children) | Copy Link

Could you tell me about them?

[–][deleted]1 point 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

What do you think they might be?

[–]Santa1936 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Fathers, GOOD fathers, are more important then a mother.

Personally I'd argue they're just as important, it's just much more common for the dad not to be involved in the kid's life (often through no fault of the dad, often because the dad is a shit) so we're all more familiar with the effects of absentee fathers

[–]MrB0mbastic-1 point 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

An absent father indicates a lack of character of the mother. Granted there are cases of single mothers that have become one though no character flaw of their own. However if a woman spawns offspring with a man that would be uninterested in the lives of their own children that would indicate a character flaw of the mother.

So odds are if a child has a bad father it's great odds that the child also has a bad mother. This is why good fathers are more important then the mother. Too many women lay with men of poor character. They have been given the lie that sex for pleasure should be normal. We have evolved for that to not be the case at all. Modern birth control and circumstances aside a good father is chosen by a good mother, a bad father is chosen by a bad mother. The fact that good fathers are rare is the fault of the mother in most cases. That is why it's important for women to think about the men they choose to lay with, for their choice is the most important of all.

I state clearly, the father is the choice of the mother. The woman's choice in a man is most important. Therefor the father is more important then the mother because he is the product of her choice. Not only does this choice effect her children and her, it also reflects her worth as a person. A man or woman need not riches to have value, they must only be strong of character.

[–]MrB0mbastic4 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Probably because they didn't have a good father as an example or had a mother that was abusive.

[–]hellraisinhardass3 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Or, it could be a situation like one of my college friends that only found out when he was 24 that his mom fed him bullshit lies for his whole life about an "abusive father that I had to run away from when you were a baby". It was totally bullshit, his mother left the dad for another man (who then left her) and lied about all of it, granny spilled the beans.

[–]BassBeerNBabes 10 points11 points12 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The hardest part of dating as someone who has a great familiar relationship, with both parents, is finding someone else who's stable anymore. At least half of the women I've dated either have daddy/mommy problems or literally just hated both their parents.

I just want someone who wants a nice nuclear family like I grew up in, shit.

[–]Neuchacho 4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

I feel you on that. I hadn't met anyone who had a stable family relationship till I met my now wife. Every girlfriend prior came from a family of divorce and there were always deep issues that would come up sooner or later that seemed rooted in it.

There is just no denying how fucked up people can get when they do not have proper parental involvement and support growing up and how much that cycle feeds itself. It's such a hard thing to address when you're older too.

[–]Neuchacho 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Parents are always the most able to inflict life-lasting psychological damage on their children. It's kind of amazing to me how often people overlook this fact with their own kids.

I shamefully used to be aboard the feminist "kill all men" train during my teenage years. After years of getting to know myself and years of therapy I realized I just never had a strong male figure in my life and was frequently abused by men. I didn't actually hate men, I hated the people who hurt me, which happened to be men.

So yeah, it's all in the head. People who despise another gender this much actually need actual psychiatric help. There's nothing "feminist" about wanting to kill all men, just makes you a trash person, especially if you can't recognize it as a mental illness and continue ignorantly through your life believing men deserve less.

[–]homelesshyundai1 points 5 years ago* [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

Cock and ball torture (CBT), penis torture or dick torture is a sexual activity involving application of pain or constriction to the penis or testicles. This may involve directly painful activities, such as genital piercing, wax play, genital spanking, squeezing, ball-busting, genital flogging, urethral play, tickle torture, erotic electrostimulation, kneeing or kicking.[1] The recipient of such activities may receive direct physical pleasure via masochism, or emotional pleasure through erotic humiliation, or knowledge that the play is pleasing to a sadistic dominant. Many of these practices carry significant health risks.[2]

Of course people are still individuals with individual personalities. However, people who gravitate towards a field like “gender studies” are much more likely to have fucked up ideas about life and equality.

Their major is a predictor, but not a qualifier for crazy.

[–]DaManX89 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That is true, but the type of people who teach these kind of classes usually encourage that sort of behavior

[–]J03SChm03OG 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

it is not the major they take in universities that makes them fucked up in the head

This is absolutely right. The only people who major in these courses are already fucked in the head. That's why they take the courses that are echo chambers for their insanity.

If I'm paying for education, I'm going with an actually challenging degree that I have a passion for.

Lib arts and business always seemed like a "idk why I'm here besides everyone goes to college". A lot of it seems like secondhand knowledge thats learned through life and not like I need to study 40 hours a week for.

Edit: I'll also add im sure there's a portion of students who genuinely love lib arts and business and all the power to those types of students. I just personally hate how normalized colleged has become that so many people feel they need to go just because its what people do, or the dumbasses that go just to party.

[–]Fr3aksh0w5 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No lib arts or biz huh? What does that leave? engineering? if you like engineering just say that lol

And you can learn anything thru secondhand knowledge if you hang around experts long enough.

College is normalized because it teaches deductive reasoning and communication skills, and it encourages people to grow the fuck up. If u want to pass in college, its all on you. Also, common sense isnt common anymore, and this is where college comes in. If u dont become a better person after being surrounded by a wealth of knowledge and opportunities for 4+ years, or even 2 years if you getting an Associates, then u prob suck as a person and college wouldnt have helped anyways. I agree with you, I dont like when people get that opportunity and then waste it.

[–]Noshamina 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

It's fun and a cool balancing act but I've never seen how to get a good workout from it. I'd say of all the paddlesports it's the least workout. But it is really fun and getting better balance is really good for you in untold ways. Plus you are perched high above the water which is good for looking at stuff. But for pure workout a kayak or just paddling on your surfboard is infinitely more intense

[–]DriverDude777 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Okay good to know. I was thinking of buying something to paddle in the water. What would you recommend? For a good upper body cardio? I live near a river here in Iowa. You might have heard of it, its the Missississiissiississippi. I might have spelled it wrong.

[–]Noshamina2 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I think it has 2 more i's one more s and a silent gh.

I'd recommend a kayak all day personally it's a wayyyy better upper body workout, also you can do way more with it like surfing river waves, take another person out if you get a 2 seater, fish with it, just overall more practical.

But both have their merits honestly. I just never found the workout to be so great on a stand up paddle because you are focusing so hard on balancing

The main character's best friend lives a carefree bachelor life. Has sex with lots of women, as you would expect for this type of character. Main character at one point laments that he wishes he could be like his best friend, who admits his apparent happiness is a facade. He's actually lonely and miserable, and knows that his whole shtick won't work for him as he gets older.

It's fine, the problem will take care of itself. They'll die lonely and miserable because they didn't have the self conviction to face their issues head on or even admit they have a problem. Even the most passive liberal dudes on the planet can only put up with that for so long. Or they'll all become lesbians which is great too because they won't breed.

[–]high_on_ducks 14 points15 points16 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Regarding the breeding point, the "kill all men" types literally believe that they don't need men to procreate. They believe in "synthetic sperm" which will render men useless on this planet. When asked to give solid scientific data and research on humans regarding this, they either cite Google as a "source" or link some shady blog on the internet

[–]BruceWinchell 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The thing is, that's where they go to find each other. You can't use a cohort with no random sampling and think it has an external validity.

Sure, it seems shocking when sentiments like this get hundreds or thousands of retweets, but have you ever actually calculated what percentage of Twitter users that is? It's easy for extreme, almost universally disagreed with beliefs to get validated when you have millions and millions of individuals to pool from. I see people drive themselves crazy thinking about the things "they" say that they see on Twitter, as if it's worth their mental energy to think about what 0.00001% of the most dejected Twitter users might think.

And that's completely ignoring all indications of foreign powers using the internet to try to sow social division.

[–]EP1Cdisast3r 12 points13 points14 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]spaghetti_taco1 points 5 years ago* [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link

Because most people on the left (shit, most people in general) feel that George Floyd died unjustly. So that creates cognitive dissonance, you say all men should die but you don't think George Floyd should die.

I don't think it works as well when it's someone who just died of natural causes or whatever.

[–]snapwillow 10 points11 points12 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Thing about George Floyd is that being a shitty person is not supposed to be punished by the Police suffocating you to death in the street.

There's supposed to be like, a trial and a judge and jury and some shit. And the punishment is supposed to be prison.

Nobody's perfect. People get arrested all the time. Some people who didn't even do anything wrong get arrested because the police aren't perfect either. George Floyd is upsetting because if it can happen to him, it could happen to any of us.

[–]ChanoMeetGW 35 points36 points37 points 5 years ago (34 children) | Copy Link

What? It's not necessarily a love for him as a person, its bringing attention to how he died. Chauvin thought it was okay to kneel on this mans neck minute after minute until he died. Clearly that is a failed justice system and that's what the attention is being brought to

[–]xPofsx 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (26 children) | Copy Link

Did you know he was dying from a drug overdose as he spoke because he swallowed his supply when cops came around?

[–]KryptoDrops 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (23 children) | Copy Link

Then why kneel on his neck for so long and not render aid?

[–]Accountbeensuspended 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (22 children) | Copy Link

Because he was resisting arrest for a long time before that and also crying wolf that he couldn't breathe long before he was laid down

[–]KryptoDrops 8 points9 points10 points 5 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

If you feel the need to kneel on the neck of a handcuffed overdosing individual with another officer for over 8 minutes because he was resisting previously, I think you may want to find another line of work

[–]Accountbeensuspended 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

[–]IanPPK1 point 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I think that:

  • police training should be emphasized and well funded;
  • situational protocols should be well established and evolved as needed (it's worth noting that there are established procedures that many police departments have for subjects that say they are unable to breathe);
  • community policing should be established where it is not to help improve relations with the public especially in areas more impacted by criminal activity where crucial identification and evidence gathering could be improved;
  • there should be an established means of officers to report bad conduct without fear of retaliation, and;
  • the mental health of police officers should be taken seriously and that seeking counseling or stress management resources should be something that is encouraged and police culture and not seen as a source or sign of weakness.

of course I am not an expert on the issue at large but I think addressing some of these points that I mentioned above would help get things moving in a positive direction, and would help mend wounds that have been left to fester.

Do us all a favor (and yourself) and watch the full video. Actually sit there and pay attention, the full length.

And when you have done that, come back and honest to god say you still have this opinion. You can literally watch a man beg for his life for minutes on screen, till he slowly dies as the cop is continuing to kneel on his neck. While the onlookers beg for the cop to at least stop pushing down on him.

Nobody deserves that, if you have someone already in cuffs and on the ground there is no need to kneel on his neck.

[–]Accountbeensuspended-2 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

He doesn't die in the video my friend

[–]Vlyn-1 point 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

He most likely did: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/05/31/us/george-floyd-investigation.html

On May 29, the Hennepin County attorney, Mike Freeman, announced third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter charges against Derek Chauvin, the officer seen most clearly in witness videos pinning Mr. Floyd to the ground. Mr. Chauvin, who is white, kept his knee on Mr. Floyd’s neck for at least eight minutes and 15 seconds, according to a Times analysis of timestamped video. Our video investigation shows that Mr. Chauvin did not remove his knee even after Mr. Floyd lost consciousness and for a full minute and 20 seconds after paramedics arrived at the scene.

If you keep pressing on someones neck for 1 minute and 20 seconds after they already lost consciousness.. they are most likely ending up brain dead on the spot. He might not get immediately pronounced dead on scene (only a doctor can do that), but he was literally executed on camera.

[–]Accountbeensuspended2 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

The "knee on the neck" was not doing any injury to George. It was not cutting off blood flow or blocking the wind pipe. Mr Floyd overdosed and died at the hospital. The initial coroner's report reflected this. It was later ahem revised.

[–]Vlyn2 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

The autopsy report from Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office concludes the cause of death was "cardiopulmonary arrest complicating law enforcement subdual, restraint, and neck compression." That conclusion, death due to heart failure, differs from the one reached by an independent examiner hired by the Floyd family; that report listed the cause of death as "asphyxiation from sustained pressure."

This medical examiner's report does not mention asphyxiation. However, according to prosecutors, in charging documents filed last week, early results "revealed no physical findings that support a diagnosis of traumatic asphyxia or strangulation."

The medical examiner's report also details blunt-force injuries to the skin of Floyd's head, face and upper lip, as well as the shoulders, hands and elbows and bruising of the wrists consistent with handcuffs.

Yes, he had drugs in his system, but two different examiners concluded he died due to the applied force during the arrest. Get your damn facts straight.

The sentencing is still going on (and those things take years), but the officer in question is looking at around 12 years up to a life sentence (should the FBI conclude Floyd's civil rights were violated, otherwise it's 12 to 40 years) in prison.

Lol this is literally what I said

The medical examiner's report also details blunt-force injuries to the skin of Floyd's head, face and upper lip, as well as the shoulders, hands and elbows and bruising of the wrists consistent with handcuffs.

Literally none of that indicates life threatening injury

Yes, he had drugs in his system, but two different examiners concluded he died due to the applied force during the arrest. Get your damn facts straight.

Literally what I already said lol

The sentencing is still going on (and those things take years), but the officer in question is looking at around 12 years up to a life sentence (should the FBI conclude Floyd's civil rights were violated, otherwise it's 12 to 40 years) in prison.

Yeah political prosecutions happen all the time.

He didn't just "have drugs in his system" I had a 2x legal dose of fent lol

The restraint position puts your foot on the ground and knee over the neck. That means you can apply anywhere from 0lb to your full body weight as necessary. It's designed to be totally non lethal, because the knee is not the right shape to cut off blood flow or air flow.

Mr Floyd was a drug dealer and armed robber who OD on his own supply, cried wolf from the second he was detained, and ultimately killed himself.

[–]Vlyn0 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Can you read? Two independent examiners said the cause of death was the arrest. Not a drug overdose.

We're done here, there is no discussing with American Republicans.

[–]Accountbeensuspended2 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Can you read? I literally already said that the initial examination showed there was no damage, WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT YOUR SOURCE SAID, before the report was "revised". And, hilariously, you insist on referring to an ME HIRED BY THE FAMILY as "independent".

Anyway, you're right that there's no discussing with me, you'll just continue to feel like an idiot.

[–]I_hate_all_of_ewe1 point 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Positional asphyxia is a thing, and it's not "an injury" (trauma) like you describe. It's funny you mention that, though, because organ damage due to lack of oxygen is a medical injury, even if not caused by trauma.

The report you refer to only ruled out traumatic asphyxia (which is a specific medical condition), and strangulation. It did not rule out asphyxia in general, as asphyxia can happen with evidence of trauma.

The original report you mention didn't find a cause of death, as the toxicology report and underlying condition checks are standard protocol. The report would have called those out in a cause of death statement if there medical examiner believed they were relevant, but they weren't.

Language about "potential intoxicants" and underlying condition "likely contributed to his death." Came from the charging document of Derek Chauvin, not from the medical report itself. For your theory that the medical report to be true to begin with, it would have had to have been revised before it was released. But if this is true, there isn't any evidence that it was revised in the first place because there's no original to refer to because it wasn't released!

[–]MrFaultyPigeon 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yes, it is true that he most likely wouldn’t have died if the hadn’t been on drugs at the time, but that doesn’t mean it was okay for the officer to kneel on his neck. George Floyd was a shitty human being but that isn’t justification

[–]xPofsx 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree, I never said the cop kneeling on his neck was ok, but the extremes that everyone has taken this case to and the parading of george Floyd's name as some kind of heros while painting all cops as evil, when it was one of about 4 there misusing force is quite disgusting

[–]ChanoMeetGW 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You're letting his imperfections distract you from the point. The argument is that the police need to stop acting as the judge and executioner on top of the enforcers of the law. Their job is to apprehend perpetrators to be brought to justice, obviously in most cases of police brutality they are going to be apprehending someone engaging in criminal activity. The issue is that they seek to deliver justice themselves instead of letting the perpetrators get a fairl trial and chance to defend themselves.

[–]gzilla57 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Because the group of people that would legitimately claim all men should die or all men are trash, and the group of people saying George Floyd's death was tragic, unjust, and that he shouldn't be dead, typically have a large overlap.

But it is an inherent contradiction to say "All men should die" and "This particular man shouldn't have died".

On the other hand, her response to Washington or Einstein suggestions would just be "yes them too".

[–]maaghen 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

itsd not about the man it is about the fact that the police is not judge jury and executioner and should not be allowed to slowly execute people on the streets and if you somehow havent understood that yet you clearly havent been paying attention.

[–]IanPPK 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There was a good point that was brought up by Dave Chappelle on his 8:46 performance. The gist of it is that the black community at large wasn't looking for an angel, what mattered is that the conditions of his death were not acceptable and the news created a captive audience to speak to. I genuinely think that Chappelle was referring by and large to the peaceful demonstrations that were occurring around this and not the riots that had erupted in the long-term as things became increasingly co-opted over time.

[–]Neuchacho 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link

Did you pick two white guys subconsciously or on purpose? That should really give you some pause on the monologue running in your head, to begin with.

Floyd isn't really being idolized. No one is really looking up to Floyd or saying he should be emulated in all aspects. They're pissed about the situation that befell him. Not because he was perfect or impressive but because he was murdered by police for no good reason. He's become a symbol of the oppression a lot of people face every day. Of a concern that a lot of people have EVERY day.

Would you not be pissed if your mother was incidentally suffocated to death for no good reason by police because she had jaywalked or sped? Would you not be doubly pissed if that lack of good reason was deemed 'fine' by the system-at-large simply because she was a woman? This is why the Floyd incident sparked off so hard. He was treated differently than someone else might be because he was black. He died because he was black. Not because he was a bad guy or doing something worth being killed for.

[–]memelack 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]lesbefriendly 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

George Floyd died of a heart failure, while having three times the lethal does of fentalyn in his blood.
He was being questioned about claims of him using counterfeit money, was behaving erratically (because of the drugs) and resisted arrest. He was not "suffocated to death for no good reason".

You could argue gross negligence / manslaughter on their part for not getting him medical assistance sooner, but the charges of murder are a political move to try and calm the raging mob.

[–]Neuchacho0 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You're so full of shit.

cardiopulmonary arrest complicating law enforcement subdual, restraint, and neck compression.

By the police report which also put it officially as homicide in the final report.

"asphyxiation from sustained pressure."

From an independent report. Since we know police aren't exactly great when it comes to actually giving the truth about their own actions, their report loses a bit of credibility out of the gate.

In NO REPORT does it say he had 'lethal doses' of fentanyl in his blood, just that it was present. If he had lethal doses he wouldn't have been walking around. It's asinine anyone is even trying to make that argument. That's the real political bullshit. Trying to paint it that because a dude has drugs in his system it's cool to murder him.

Whether his heart was stopped or he was strangled and his heart stopped. We all saw the fucking video and it was clear homicide even by their own fucking report admission.

[–]lesbefriendly3 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

"asphyxiation from sustained pressure."

From an independent report.

The report commissioned by George Floyd's family? I'm sure there is no incentive for them to have a report that specifically lays the blame on the police.

Also, I never said he died of fentanyl overdose. I said he died of heart failure. The level of fentanyl in his blood was 11ng/mL, the average dose for lethality is just under 10nl/mL.

Even by your own admission it's still their fault in your own pretend scenario where it was just from 'not getting medical assistance sooner'.

I also haven't placed fault on anyone. I said it could be argued that they were negligent, not that I believe they were.

George Floyd had a history of heart problems and died of a heart failure. I think the drugs and the restraints exacerbated the problems and unfortunate circumstances lead to his death, with no one in particular at blame.

From my research, they don't mean to literally kill all of the living men. They believe that if they get pregnant with a boy, then they should abort it. And also, in the near future; they'll be able to synthetically impregnate themselves and then genetically modify their embryo to ensure that it's a girl. It's wild shit.

I'm pretty sure none of that means shit when the global birth rate hits 0%. Every country getting rid of their militaries actually seems like a positive for society. If humans weren't such greedy fucks, then war wouldn't be necessary.

That said, I feel sorry for her. Sounds like she's dealt with more toxic men than your average person, and it's caused a very negative perception that's affecting her life. And it makes me glad that I've had many positive make influences that have turned me into a good man. I wish more people were as blessed as I have been. Because I've had very positive influences from both sexes.

[–]spam_etc 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

The global birth rate hitting 0 would require all women to think like this though. Which is impossible, so that's not really valid

[–]Lucidge 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Killing all men is similarly impossible, so why we're even having this talk in the first place, is not valid.

Yet, here we are

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]CCTider 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I do feel bad for them. And have felt bad for them. I spent a year working working in Arabi, LA. Look it up, and you'll understand.

I think you're mistaken pity for condoning. But there's a huge difference.

He made her opinion look as stupid as it is by easily identifying the source.

[–]RootsAndFruit-22 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

That doesn't make her opinion stupid, it reinforces it. You all know dads are men, right? I don't support KAM, but this isn't a gotcha. It's also not a pussy pass denied.

Edit: Really don't get how this is so hard for you guys to understand. "Oh, every guy starting from your very first experience of what a man should be has let you down? Haaaa how stupid you are to hate men for that!" It's not a gotcha moment, sorry.

[–]LeDingo12 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

If you have had a lot of bad interactions with black people do you think it would be stupid to say 'kill all black people'?

[–]RootsAndFruit-7 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I've already said I don't support KAM. He said identifying the source of the opinion made it stupid and worth laughing at. If you meet a racist who was targeted over and over by the group he's racist against before he was even old enough to know how to hate, would you laugh at him, or would you understand, even though it's not the best reaction to his experiences?

Similarly, this isn't even a pussy pass denied. A bunch of content on this sub isn't denying a pussy pass, it's just become a woman-hating circle jerk. You guys should probably tend to your own hatreds.

[–]LeDingo9 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I would absolutely laugh at that person you just described wtf. this person is clearly an adult. If you can't understand that 10, 20, 30, even 500 terrible people that all have similar parts or features isn't even remotely indicative of the behaviors of that group by and large, you deserve to be laughed off the face of the earth and called stupid like this person in the video. Although I do agree that places like this, gamingcirclejerk, tumblrinaction, and such turn into straw-manning hatred circle jerks

[–]RootsAndFruit-9 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

So you agree this place is a woman-hating circle jerk, That people who participate in woman-hating or man-hating are pathetic and ridiculous and need to be laughed at, yet you're still here? Are you laughing at yourself, or...?

[–]LeDingo7 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

That was so pitiful. You just side stepped so hard to avoid the topic. The topic is about this person being laughed at for showing an extreme level of hatred and you just tried so hard to squirm out of it.

To briefly address that point easily, I could go comment on a communist/capitalist/conservative/lgbtq forum and that in no way shape or form defines my beliefs or opinions. It's the substance of what I am saying that does. Reread all my comments from this hilarious conversation and see I am only criticizing a person spewing hatred. That sidestep though

[–]RootsAndFruit0 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Not only was that not a sidestep, but the topic of this particular thread is talking about how laughing at her for not having a relationship with her dad wasn't a gotcha. That's what you responded to. Sorry you didn't like what was said when it applied to you.

[–]LeDingo2 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

and my very first comment was trying to find out when you find it acceptable to spew hatred. That's all we have discussed, nothing about 'was it a super sick gotcha moment.' You didn't have to respond to my comment that was not about what you are trying to say, but you did and now you are squirming Also chill with the misogyny my dude, why are you on a woman hating subreddit?

[–]RootsAndFruit1 point 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Hahaha, squirming. Keep dreaming, champ.

[–]LeDingo3 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

my man f5ing out here, I really enjoyed this conversation no bs. I think it's good to challenge hatred. Also, it seems like you desperately want me to have the opinion that if this were a man saying kill all women I would have a different opinion, but no. He'd be a stupid person just like this one. Hope you have a nice day and continue to challenge hatred like we are doing here.

[–]RootsAndFruit1 point 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Chrome sends me notifications, actually; I'm currently reading about politics.

At no point did I defend her statement and say it was ok, nor did I even hint that you would be okay with this speech if a man said it, so your "desperately" comment is WAY out of left field. I said identifying the beginning of her hatred of men doesn't make her hatred stupid, this isn't a gotcha moment, and it's also not a pussy pass denied. Yet here you are, still trying to argue and make up allegations to argue about.

[–]teehahmed2 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

This argument is pointless

[–]Guglielmowhisper1 point 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

She felt happy to spew sexist and let’s be honest literally murderous rhetoric and was shot down. I wonder if she has a good counter. Pass denied.

[–]RootsAndFruit1 point 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

That's not an attempt to use a pussy pass.

[–]Guglielmowhisper2 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Ok, if guys start going around saying rape all women without fear of consequences let me know how it goes.

[–]RootsAndFruit1 point 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

What point are you trying to make? They wouldn't be using a dick pass, if that was the case. If that same guy said every woman he's dated beat him, and I asked what his relationship with his mom was and he said she would beat his ass for no reason, that wouldn't be a "gotcha" moment where I laughed at him and called him a fucking idiot for being beaten, finding himself in similar relationships where he is beaten, and then forming unpleasant ideas of women because of it.

Not a pussy pass. Not a hilarious gotcha moment. No amount of reframing it or bringing in irrelevant what-ifs is going to make it so.

[–]Guglielmowhisper1 point 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

It’s a double standard.

It would be sexist and violent rhetoric from the dude and no one would have any problem calling it out by saying “mummy/girlfriend didn’t love you did she?” And laughing. Only genuine creeps say things like “rape all women” and they aren’t encouraged or tolerated in good humour.

[–]Equilibriator1 point 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Because she's a woman she thinks she can get away with saying "kill all men" and she was then promptly shut down. It's definitely PPD.

Only women could think that's an ok thing to say, because of the pussy pass they are used to having, protecting them from real consequences

If only her dad was a bad guy, she wouldn't hate men in general.

[–]Equilibriator1 point 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

It is a gotcha because he didn't even need to go into detailed debate to crush her. The friend even laughed. She will be seething over this for a while. All the metrics are there.

You're coming at this like she's rational for wanting all men to die because she had a shitty father and that it's an argument that deserves rational discourse.

It doesn't. She's literally telling a man that she wants all men to die. You're ill in the head for thinking he's wrong for not pandering to her bullshit.

It''s clear she just wants to piss him off, because he's a man, so instead he pissed her off first by pretending to start the rational discourse she felt entitled to because of her pussy then BAM she realises he flipped the script.

In other fucking words....Gotcha.

[–]RootsAndFruit1 point 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Jesus Christ, you idiots love your strawman arguments. At no point did I say she was rational! He didn't crush her. She's not going to care. I'm sorry that you guys are so bent out of shape over this, but the whole logic of it is faulty. I've already said in numerous other replies. Maybe go back and read with your brain and not your feelings

[–]Equilibriator1 point 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I just explained why it's a gotcha. The fact you didn't see the gotcha can only be explained by you sympathising with her and all the other things I just said. You didn't say it, you didn't need to because anyone with a brain can read your mind on this particular example. It's all right there in the things you did say and the fact you felt it necessary to say them.

The fact you can't see this and that is why you are the actual moron, because I just explained it and you didn't understand.

It's very simple, she ONLY wanted to piss him off because he's a man and instead he pissed her off. That's the gotcha.

The rest was me explaining why it's a PPD as well because it's much more subtle than normal and you clearly needed the explanation.

I know you needed the explanation, because my first comment was the short version and you didn't get it and basically what you said forced me to explain it.

[–]RootsAndFruit1 point 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You having shitty logic doesn't mean I didn't understand what you tried to say. You're reaching hard, that's not what a gotcha even is, screaming your own laughter at an illogical argument isn't crushing anyone, and now you're just embarrassing yourself. Repeating the same bullshit over and over doesn't make you right. Trying and failing to insult my intelligence doesn't give your argument strength. We disagree and that's not going to change. Smoke some weed or something and stop vomiting your emotions all over me.

None of them are actually going to kill men, or hope that they all die. It’s a joke that incels pretend is serious so they can continue hating women.

Meanwhile, men actually are killing women at a crazy high rate, but no one cares because that’s the status quo.

How is joking about killing an entire demographic appropriate or productive? My experiences with men have been great and one of my girl friend's experiences with men have been absolute trash, doesn't give either one of us the right to make sweeping generalizations about men as a whole. As far as the judicial system and western society goes, women who are physically abused or sexually assaulted get more sympathy and justice than their male counterparts. 78.7% homicide victims are men. So no, men are actually killed at a crazy high rate, but no one cares because that's the status quo.

Let her believe it, she’s obviously got some serious issues deep down. I used to laugh at this type of thing but now I can just see it’s a desperately sad and insecure girl trying to be edgy and different, who is trying to inflict her pain on others. She has no power and no matter what she says she’s not gonna change anything.

[–]Team_NoCalves 12 points13 points14 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Meh. I think you can empathize for people and still condemn them for their blatantly awful views. Her past trauma may be sad but that’s not a reason to just let people think they’re right when they publicly state that they want to kill all men.

If my parents were killed by a Argentinian man when I was a child, I wouldn’t be justified in walking around and telling people that all Argentinians should be killed just because I had a history of trauma.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I get you bud, but the more you feed her the more she’ll go with it. If you just let these people do their thing and not argue they build themselves up for this big fight and then get ignored. She’s saying kill all men because shes desperate for attention and a reaction, she claims to hate men but she’s craving a response from them, she just wants non-sexual attention and she doesn’t care if it’s negative or positive as long as she gets it. She can keep that view all her life all it will do is make her more unhappy and prevent her from doing anything in life.

[–]Shanguerrilla -2 points-1 points0 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

True, but still have to let her believe it rather than "give" her something to fight. She's a nutbag with plenty of nuts left to be overall nutty. She needs to work her way through what's left until she's only half a nut (like the rest of us!).

[–]yuiojmncbf-23 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

She is clearly joking which is why she looks to her friend, tilts head, changes tone of voice and makes and obviously irrational belief which no real feminists hold

[–]TFWnoLTR10 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You mean no true Scotsman holds, right?

[–]yuiojmncbf-7 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Sure, even if that’s incorrect it doesn’t change her being obviously facetious

[–][deleted]-35 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You've never said something fucked up to someone so that'd they'd leave you alone before?

Half the time people say this shit for that reason. Not cause they TRULY do believe it. There is a "subtext" to why people say certain things. If everything could always be interpreted at face value, we'd have a lot less political problems.

[–]Keno11215 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You never noticed how I actually insulted her huh

[–]nodiso1 point 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

If your original comment isnt an insult I don't know what is. You did insult her. I fail to see how you didnt

[–]ChrisW8284 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

He either insulted her or mentally ill people.

[–][deleted]-10 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

She's probably not even mentally ill. You called her mentally ill just cause she said something fucked up...on purpose. Her tone says it all. She's saying it with a very cocky attitude.

[–]Keno1129 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Holy shit dude never mind

[–]AaronFrye7 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

And that cocky attitude may stem from her truly believing it. It's not in the slightest ironic. Yes, I have that kind of very dry ironic humour, but it's just that my emotions aren't generally expressed in my vocal tone, and I can change my tone to express myself pretty well, but if I need to, yeah, I'll use an ironic enough tone.

[–]SunnyGay73 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

by favorite comeback to the kill all men mentally is to mention the latest tragic male death everyone is talking about in the media. Its currently George Floyd, which ive seen used a few times already

Little Ms. Chucky here, probably took care of her dad🔪, very early on

[–]Ez_Scotsman 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

why do people try and play kill all men of as like a silly joke when people genuinely believe in it?

[–]Blogginginvicecity 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They have that sweet privilege of not being in the group. Not being sympathetic or much of critical thinkers, they just spout hate because it points negative attention away from them.

[–]maybe_bass 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

THERE IT IS!!!

[–]froggie-style-meme 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There’s a psychological reason behind this. It’s based on how parents behave in front of their kids. There’s an amazing video that was done by Louis Rossmann which addresses the root of this issue. He even mentions once repairing a phone for a lady who believed in kill all men, and she stated to him that her father was an abusive piece of shit. That woman’s beliefs are a result of incompetent parenting.

If a man gets drunk and angrily beats his son, his son will more likely turn out to be a shitty person. It applies to both genders. I am not asking forgiveness for people like her, because she could angrily drop a hat and people in this sub would flip the fuck out. In this place, forgiveness isn't given easily. Still, we should all try to understand why she has become what she is, and also understand that there are a multitude of factors beyond this video that went into making her the very imperfect individual she is.

[–]Lexinator04 16 points17 points18 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

If the son turns out to be a shitty person we would condemn him too.

[–]soulbend1 points 5 years ago [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link

We isolate him, if he commits an act that convinces society he cannot function in society.

[–]Lexinator04 6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Or we just make fun of him I mean not everyone in r/justneckbeardthings or r/niceguys is abused but I wouldn't doubt if some of them were and we make fun of them all the same.

[–]ChrisW828 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]Stankbootyahh 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]garliccrisps-19 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Isn't it more understandable to be resentful towards men if the one person that was supposed to be there for you but wasn't was a man?

[–]dutchmetalhead179 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Well is some degree yes.however resenting all man for the Actions of one is still shitty

[–]garliccrisps0 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Sure, no doubt. Just that I find his reaction weird, like it was her fault that her dad wasn't there for her.

[–]dutchmetalhead171 point 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Ahhh that yeah i see what you mean

[–]kirin9001 point 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I mean, sure its not her fault that her father wasnt there for her but if anyone thinks (he or she) that killing the whole opposite sex is the answer (to any problem)....... well it is your responsability to go to therapy to work it out because if not odds are you are gonna end up being a shitty parent too.

[–]deadelusx2 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Becoming a single mom is the choice... of a woman. So why not blame your mother?
That would make far more sense than blaming other men.

[–]garliccrisps-2 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

What? I mean it's perfectly possible it was her mother who pushed him away but that's not the only option here.

[–]deadelusx2 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

It's her choice not to vet a potential father. It's her choice not to use contraception. You literally have to go out of your way to end up a single mother.

[–]Full_Send_NDN-25 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

[–]Stankbootyahh8 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

[–]Arken41129 points 5 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Yea see, that's not a valid excuse. Dont say things which are literal threats to half of the human population. Wether you believe them or not is kind of irrelevant if you go around saying them in public.
