I am going to reiterate the same. 2 years ago I had gained an extra 15lbs, my pants were starting to get tight, and for the first time in my life I had to go up a size. I started eating right(keto), exercising. It took me 2 months to go from 17% to 10%bf. If you are a fat then you aren't trying, or are lying to yourself.

No one finds fat people attractive. The kind of woman you want to find using the red pill will certainly not.

So stop being a lazy fuck and do something about your condition. Don't make excuses, just work hard. Results will come.

Since I was 10 I train martial arts, I lift, I run 8 clicks, I dance and reducing from 107kg to 96kg is hell. Now I am on keto diet and it's the ONLY diet that works for me. I was always a fat kid except for the time I was 18 and literally was eating almost nothing except one meal full of meat per day to pass military exams to officer's school. As you can see for some guys it is not that easy. You can do everything right and still be a fat pig. While I was at boot camp I was being pushed to my limits and getting shitty food and I barely lost 7kg during first month being active for 15-18 hours per day.

For all endomorphics there:

*Sleep! Propably you need 8-9 hours!

*Videogames are not for you, neither alcohol and sweets. Actually carbohydrates are a fuckin poison.

*Check keto diet. Most people will feel sick, but you will struggle only for a week or two getting crazy for carbohydrates and later the magic happens. You will notice that an orange juice is so sweet you can't drink it!

*Lift like crazy, run like crazy!

*Drink only water except for some protein shake you can use milk. "Tea, Coffee? Sorry I don't know what that is..."

*For a 100kg man: In the morning eat 4 eggs, and around 200g-400g of meat for a dinner and I recommend 400g of cottage cheese or a protein shake(s) for the evening dependently how hungry you will be (shake may be also dosed as a second breakfast). Potatos and rice are for pigs...

*No limits on meat and vegetables ;)... well almost.

*Eat vitamin, ferritine and zinc suplements - this practically necessary.

*Eat nuts or sunflower. These are great source of healthy fats your body needs for good hormones level.

After going down to your dreamed weight add some carbos to keep it still, but be really cautious! Diet is a part of your new lifstyle, not something you can just do and then leave.

If you are like me, you are a freakin' caveman so you should eat as a caveman. Most "normal" products will raise your insulin level sky high, so be careful. You are in a group of high risk of getting diabetes and having heart problems.

"But sezamus what about my precious muscles? This diet is unreal! Are you crazy?" Yes I am, but with that method I burn bodyfat and... build muscles. I noticed increase in my non-fat mass while bodyfat percentage goes down.

This eating style is fucking boring, but it's effective. I tried many combinations, but only this works.

It's true. Things like weight and physical health are entirely within your control. It takes discipline and hard work and some people continue to make excuses for themselves. I was unhappy as fuck with myself and was dealing with weight gain to due to not exercising and eating like shit. Couldn't stand pictures of myself, hated taking my shirt off...just overall felt like crap and I finally stopped making excuses. Since then, dropped 15 pounds so far (my goal was 20), changed my eating habits, stopped drinking, started working out regularly 3 to 4 times a week.

I used to fuck fatties when I was younger and it was pretty cool. Now I see a fat girl, I think not only about poor hygiene and sweat, but what pushes me away the most is the mindset of a fatty - poor discipline, lack of self-control, impossible to think about the future.

In my work, when I see a fat person, I ask them... "how do you imagine your body and your health in 5, 10, 15 years?"

They usually respond "I don't!"

I completely agree with your post, I always try to "simplify" healthy living into equations for my patients:

↓Calorie intake + ↑Calorie output via exersize = Weight loss

↓LDL intake + ↑Fibre intake + ↑HDL = Lower bad cholesterol (due to fibre binding bile(which consists mostly of cholesterol to emulsify fatty foods in the small intestine) in gut and allowing it to be removed rather than recycled) and higher Good Cholesterol.

Works both ways too:

↑Energy in + ↓Energy out = Weight gain

↑LDL + ↓Fibre intake + ↓HDL intake = Eventual heart/brain stroke

Yeah. But only technically. Saying to a fat person "just eat less" is technically correct, but as effective as saying to alcoholic "just drink less alcohol". Unless you assume 99,9% of people are lazy and mentally weak, because that's failure rate for obese people who tried to loose weight and kept it off permanently.

Untill people start treating obesity as simply a symptom of addiction to junk food nothing will change. You need to recognize it as addiction and fight it as any other addiction. This is what will provide long term success. Otherwise you're trying to fix problems with inadequate tools. I mean, it sure is possible to dig a pool in your backyard using just a fork, but most people would give up on that task.

I agree that this is probably the case for most overweight people.

However, I'm not convinced there has been a rigorous study where scientists took a normal person and a morbidly obeast person and locked them in a room and fed them the exact same thing. I mention this because the human body is incredibly complex and maybe the fat person's body is more efficient at extracting nutrients and storing it.

Furthermore, there are indications that xenoestrogens are fucking up the body's regulatory systems leading to weight gain. Couple this with hormone fed animals, chemicals, GMOs and we really don't know what things can be causing the effects we see.

There's even indicators that gut flora effect weight gain.

Too many variables at this point to reduce it to simply eating 2000 kcal a day.

Bring on the downvotes. I'm ready. Lol

(To be clear I'm not saying eating right won't fix most overweight people's problems. I'm saying I think there could be other factors at play and I'd like to see more research to answer these questions.)

Good post. This doesn't work for everyone though.

First off: sit ups are a trash exercise, it's bad for your spine and it's too easy to cheat and use way to much hip flexor activation.

Secondly: Counting calories sounds like the biggest obsessive chore ever. Fuck that noise. I think you are much better off religously watching your diet. Note I did not say dieting or tracking calories. Just make it a habit to eat good food and excercise.

I think the post is great! We need more like this. What is the best part of this post ? It slaps to you with the truth that you do not even tell yourself. It's not hard task to do 5-10 minutes things which give us to chance feel better. What causes laziness and procrastination ? Answer is simple, sugar and availability of consuming ! Because people who are lazy cannot leave their confort zone. Gaming, over exaggerated pessimism, fast food, social media. These are distraction that causes procrastination.

My highest was 285 and I worked my ass off to get to 167lbs. It came off in chunks, like 285 to 240 to 205 to 180 to 167. I was lightly jogging, biking a lot, skateboarding, swimming, planking and pushups. I ate twice as much food and still lost weight. I didn't count calories. This was in the span of maybe 5 months to get from 205 to 167. Hot summer, lots of biking, daily push ups. Just have fun with it.

To become fit, they need an environment that helps them. Get the right tools. Use baby steps and mini habits. Visualize short term vs long term pain. Use reminders to regularly throw away junk food. Research actual methods to lose fat: keto, slow carbs, caloric deficit, fasting, cold showers, eca supplementation, muscle growth, VO2 max increase.

I gave this speech to a friend about a year ago one night after he was telling me about his girl problems. I don't personally subscribe completely to TRP in terms of women, but it's next to none in terms of self discipline. Anyways:

The dude went on a date with a girl, they watched a movie and had coffee. He told me that she stopped talking to him shortly after. I asked him if he had kissed her, and he had said no. I said "Dude, it was obviously a date, you have to escalate, she thought you weren't interested."
A couple minutes of conversation later I had him tell me that he was uncomfortable being chubby and thought that no one would like him. I asked him if he was taking being unhappy at himself as an excuse for blaming this woman. He said yes. The next words out of my mouth were "Tell me exactly what you're unhappy about with yourself." I told him the only person who could ever change that was him.

Fast forward a year, the guy has lost almost 50 pounds and looks great. I don't think he's had any more success with the ladies, but he's getting his life on track.

I completely agree with this post, even though i'm a bit of a lazy fuck. Despite my awesome metabolism i'm still a lazy fuck.

you should propably do a more varied workout. Check out bodyweight fitness recommended routine here on reddit. If you don't care about warmup and such, just do a smaller version of their shit but do the hard versions. Little time, great muscle.

I disagree with this.

The people you are describing are stuck in habits. They are stuck in behaviours that they know are wrong, but don't know how to trick their own brains to fix their problem and get in new better ones.

Its not mentally weak to go for that bag of chips when you have been doing it all your life, its just a pattern you have been in so long you do it without thinking. When people try to lose weigh what happens is they start off disciplined and focused, then their old patterns emerge, then they make a small mistake which causes them to get angry with themselves and give up.

The fatal flaw I see it is that people are not aware that they will make mistakes, they have false expectations. This is why they seem lazy, mentally weak and lie to themselves.

It's worth noting that exercise is far, far behind diet in terms of importance if we're talking about purely losing weight.

Eat less. That's basically it.

Once you get to a reasonable weight then exercise and nutritional profiles become much more important.

Food companies spend millions (billions maybe?) on researching how they can get you to eat more "crappy and cheap" food than you "need". You need to fight them at the supermarket, not at your fridge.

Eating is a primal body function, up there in importance with breathing and drinking (and sex). It is an extremely difficult urge to overcome (food companies know this) with willpower. When the shit food is in the fridge you will eat it, you (despite what you might think) bought it for that purpose.

Taking goods off a shelf and placing them into a trolley, is not a primal body function. It is sooooo much easier to change this habit through willpower. All you have to do is walk out of a supermarket with fresh, unprocessed food, (I choose - fruit, veggies and fatty meat) and stay away from fast food joints and you will succeed. You don't have to focus on exercise or calories or macro ratios. Just only buy fresh food and eat it only when hungry, your body from there will do all the recomp.

People who think counting calories is the only way to lose weight doesn't give their body enough credit and are doomed to fail. Your body is a biological masterpiece.... amongst other things, it has specific hormones to turn down its metabolic rate (how many calories it needs per day) to match its intake, given detection of a regular lack (eg a month or more) of required calories, this is your thyroid's major function. Your body is basically detecting that it is having a bad foraging/hunting season. Stored body fat (what we're trying to rid ourselves of) OTOH is used by the body to overcome a bad foraging day/week. This is why intermittent fasting and re-feeds works so well, it triggers a deficit over a day but still lets your body think it is having a good season, thereby still running its metabolism at full speed.

All you aspiring weight losers, learn from those who have had long lasting success, in dropping fat. Guys who have always been lean or in the process of becoming lean usually don't know what they are talking about.

One piece of advice: Don't diet (ever), make a sustainable life change to your eating habits and don't punish yourself by never eating a piece of chocolate (just count the calories and make room for it). Also don't go for a run if you ate too much the day before, you will start associating workouts with punishment. Treat fitness as an addition to your lifestyle, not a way to get a greater caloric deficit or punish yourself for shortcomings the day before.

I understand that this is motivational, and for most guys you need to just fucking do this and stop making excuses.

While this may be true for a lot of people, its not true overall, although I suppose that depends on what you consider "fat". There are a lot of complicated chronic conditions that make it impossible to optimize your health until you solve the root issue. Counting calories won't help if you have food allergies. "Being mentally weak" is relative; if you have an unknown condition wreaking havoc in your brain, it can give you a rollercoaster ride of issues noatter.how strong you are. You can still make huge strides by becoming more and more mentally strong, however. And you'll be healthier the more you pay attention to how food affects you and by eating what the majority consider healthy.

But if you're struggling to make this work, which for me looked like about 5 years of busting my ass and trying every different health suggestion, then there may still be a root cause out there. Never fucking give up, even when you feel weak. I just found out my solution and can't wait to get back out there after.

Research is against you on this one, my friend. A lot of obesity is tied in with social factors, depression, and good old human physiology.

You could probably echo all these sentiments about drug addicts too, except that it's even harder to break a food addiction (read: obesity) than it is to break any kind of drug addiction.

I'm happy to retrieve the data backing my claims for ya tomorrow. Sources will include weight loss clinicians at a major academic medical center.
