The other day I was at the mall. I’m officially dating myself so I was in a good mood, dressed nicely, and feeling great.

While waiting in line an attractive man starts chatting me up. We end up walking along the mall having polite conversation until this happens.

Him “So how old are you?”

Me: “37, how old are you?”

Him: “Oh! I’m in my forties…”

Pause

Him: “You look great, I thought you were in your 20s.“

Ummm… 🤔

Sooooo… did he just out himself?

He was purposely vague about his age. So I’m guessing he’s insecure, which means he’s likely mid to upper 40’s.

So even if we peg him at 45 and put me as high as 29 that would still be a SIXTEEN year age gap.

I can’t unsee how creepy this is.

EDIT: Someone asked how the exchange ended. Now that I recall, it’s actually pretty hilarious!!

He offered to “walk me to my car” and then a moment after a woman with a stroller, that clearly knew him walked past us.

He immediately turned on his heels saying “see you later, nice catching up with you!” and ran off to talk to her.

Omg. 🤣🤣🤣
