The video is too long, the guy is very pointless and long winded. You do not need to talk for 29 minutes to say something that should only take one sentence.

The reason women are friendlier is because the men there are also more resilient to sexual allure. A very pretty and hot girl can be rebolando right on a guy's face and he will not think it's a big deal and only feel the slightest pang of attraction rather than salivate like a dog horny for sex. Most Latin American men view attractive women as no big deal. When you grow up seeing very sexy women (NSFW) all day every day it just becomes meh. Notice the guys in the audience, especially the judges. You'd think they are watching golf or something.

As a Brazilian in a US college, it's really not that different at all, those guys are exaggerating the cultural differences and omg did they really need 19 minutes to say that little information they're repeating themselves

I exclusively date only women with a "rags to riches" story/background(my life was like that too).

They know very well that nothing worthwile in life comes easy, respect hard work and are willing to do it themselves, and I can take them much more seriously then other "types" of women.
They're definitely not the type that goes for instant gratification. There might be exceptions ofc as with everything, but I still haven't met them tho.
And I'm personally the same way.

I spent a year in Brazil studying and that’s not really common. The culture is definitely more forward and men are not afraid to get close and touch you but in my experience they do obvious things like make eye contact as they approach you and they stare into your soul. I found that when I froze up they would just flirt but if I smiled then they’d grab me to dance or something

As for the women there, they are placed under a lot of pressure when it comes to looks and sexuality. I felt like men valued that over almost anything. So it makes sense that some of the women there see these advances as validating of their value

There’s also a lot of sexual violence that’s just normal when I was there. I’m white so people were careful around me but just on the streets it can feel risky

Well yes I agree about the points talking about the culture being much warmer and more family oriented than North American or European cultures. But I think this guy is probably dealing with escorts or something. Latin Americans are very misogynistic. It wouldn’t at all be seen well for a woman to walk into a bar and make out with a stranger. Latin American women are expected to LOOK sexy and show skin but act chaste and conservative. Also, women there care much more about money and status than a man’s looks. It’s basically taboo for an attractive white woman there to choose a brown or black man unless he’s got paper or comes from a rich country like our friend here. Lol.

I can already guess that women commenting on this video are going to downvote it and try to invalidate it in a variety of different ways because it's impolite to suggest that women elsewhere are better in some way. This is part of tearing-down the competition.

Also, I looked up obesity rates for the US and Brazil. 36% of US adults are obese. 22% of Brazilian adults are obese.

I think your premise has merit: US individualism is harmful for relationships.

Can't really argue with you that as a species humanity has become a lot more narcissistic and less civically minded. But despite the past few years of national embarrassment there are still pockets in the world where being from the US is considered a positive thing and that's probably part of this guy's success. That notwithstanding, he's good looking, physically fit and seems very openminded in wanting to learn about Brazilian culture and norms. All of those things probably make him at least above average in the mind of a typical Rio club girl. Likely not just any man could expect the same reception. For lack of a better word he might be considered "exotic" by Brazilian standards whereas a Brazilian guy who looks just like him wouldn't.

This thread kinda reveals parts of why we're not that open in the west. Lots of presumably women saying that it's not so great for the woman, women aren't allowed to say no, going up to a woman and making out with her is sexual assault ect.

They're so defensive and standoffish. I've said before how western women and men have this mentality around strangers that says "you're a creepy crazy weirdo until proven otherwise". Maybe in Brazil they're just a lot more laid back than that. They know that this other dude they don't know is probably just another cool dude looking to have a good time, just like they should be.

Yeah nothing wrong going to countries that are more family oriented and more communal and where people are more welcoming. I've traveled across the world 🌍 and in my own opinion the US falls shorts in a lot of area's. The one thing that makes other countries a lot better is the currency exchange rate you get a lot more for your dollar. I personally prefer eastern Europe than Latin America based on public safety.

Try pretty much anywhere in Africa or the grand majority of Asia for a real difference in culture.

I've been with two brazilian girls so far and they are both described perfectly by what you write in the edit. I really need to visit that country. Especially the "if they are into you, you know it" part is such a stark difference to my own country (germany), they literally changed my life by being vocal about finding me attractive.
