All that said it does seem like agency should have at least found her one guy or returned the money if no guys meeting her criteria wanted her. And let's face it given her age and the pictures this is likely the case.

You have to imagine that since the agency don't seem to have just paid up that if they intend to fight this then they will reveal that they had no 6ft men who wanted her. That would be...awkward.

They shouldn't make promises they can't keep. Professional men who are 6ft tall aren't paying matchmaking services to find them 36 year olds (who are marginally attractive)... those are usually the women they are fending off because at 36, these men can't shake them. The service likely knew this and should have told her up front that it's not likely to happen (and they don't have any matches for her) rather than taking her money. Unless she's willing to go $40k a year earner who isn't financially secure and professional (ie another service) or MUCH older (10-20 years and likely divorced with kids) she isn't going to find a guy of that height. I know quite a few female doctors in their 30s, they literally can't get a date even if they pay for everything, and they are so angry that men their age are all dating 26 and 28 year olds who earn little. I feel like they dreamed of being part of a high earning "power couple" and having big homes and nice cars and putting their kids in daycare while they work and travel together, and are annoyed men don't have the same fantasy about being with a high earning, successful woman.

The type of man who wants to get married and have a family is going to be either thinking about this factor or otherwise having his instincts tell him that this is not a good prospect. Men her age that are not already married are also going to be less inclined to get married, as they see less purpose in doing that as they get older. The odds are not with her.

But what does she do? She restricts her odds even further and rejects the man chosen by the dating agency for something he cannot control. Perhaps the dating agency was not able to meet her requirements, but my guess is that it was either the man shorter than 6 feet or no man at all. If the dating agency will have learned anything from this, they will realize that women like this are a lost cause if they are going to have standards that limit the number of available men to choose to 0.

I had one of these dating agencies contact me to put me in their male pool for the women to select from. They told me the women pay $5000 to join but for the men it was free. I do happen to meet the 6666 club for men so I filled out a bio and submitted a few pictures.

The results were hilarious and shocking. It was mostly women like this woman. Looks around a 2 or 3 with a huge laundry list of requirements and 90% of them were divorced with kids. Even sadder was I knew quite a few of the women already from different social networks. Most of them could probably just go out to a bar and spend $10 and meet a guy but instead decided to spend $5000 to meet the same guy.

This math is fun. There's statistically less than 250 single, 6'+, 20-45 yo, Irish, highly educated, financially secure, roman catholic guys (per 2016 census data) in the entirety of Australia. That's her criteria. Not anything projected on her.

Australia doesn't have a lot of people to begin with. It would be just the 3rd most populated US state. That being said 3.2 M Aussie guys are 20-45. Avg Aussie guy is 5'9". If it's a similar distribution to the US, 15% is 6'+. Catholic - 22% of total pop. Irish ancestry - 10% of total pop. Unmarried 50% of total pop (doesn't include those in committed relationships). 5% with a postgrad degree nationwide (7% cities, 3% elsewhere). Since we are talking about postgrad, ~80% of them are financially stable.

Given that there is probably overlap between those groups, you're looking at ~250 people in a country the geographical size of the lower 48 US states. Now how many of those 250 want to get married NOW? Probably 10% at best. 25 guys with infinitely better prospects than this chick. Enjoy your cats lady.

Hence why she paid $5k to a company to try to find one. They literally had to fly a guy in from another country to meet her criteria, and even then they had to compromise.

Dating agencies have an extremely tough job. They get a huge influx of demand from middle aged women who are absolutely delusional about their RMV, and want alfabux fried ice. The correct counter for the agency would be to tell "we shown her profile to Chad, but he declined".

There is an obvious economics issue here : lack of matches can come from either miscommunication (ie the inability for a woman to signal herself to suitable mates) or excessive demands. In our age of digital connexion, though, women have to accept the fact that the problem is NOT miscommunication.

This is the problem with expensive paid dating services. It offers a similar selection of people to free/cheap ones, only in smaller numbers. And everyone has their expectations raised even higher because they are paying quite a lot of money.

These dating services often have the normal gender ratios reversed, as they are full of delusional professional women, like this one, in their 30s/40s chasing tall handsome stylish high-earning charismatic Mr Professional. Such an elite man has no need or desire to sign up for these sites, and no interest in the older entitled professional ladies populating them.

The truth is that men are more realistic and women are more idealistic. Look who's happier in the LGB group Lesbians or gays. There are many political lesbians who only date women bc men bad, statistically speaking that is a worse choice since women are unhappier in lesbo relationships.

On the other hand, we have gays, who usually only have casual sex, and have average n count above that of a str8 woman and still have better and more fulfilling relationship than any other group. I think the common denominator in the relationships (lesbian and str8) are women but nobody wants to acknowledge that.

Men generally want peace and stability which women take away after marriage, many men just accept it as a fact and try to warn other men from the same fate. But some men lose patience and resort to violence. This just represents tiny tip of the iceberg of the problems of dating women in general.

I can say as someone who has past experience being a client of a matchmaking company, this woman has a fundamental misunderstanding of how it works. A matchmaking company isn't guaranteeing you a spouse or even a long term relationship. You pay a matchmaking company for certain conveniences, namely instead of spending a lot of time at bars, asking 20 women out and getting rejected by 19 of them, or spending money on dating apps, or spending a ton of time on dating apps having a match rate of 1% and a date rate of 1% of those matches you get, you pay some money for someone to help you with those intermediate steps. That's what you're paying for. Not a guarantee of a husband/wife, or even a guarantee of a long term relationship. Based on the criteria you've provided the matchmaking company does its best to find you matches that fit your criteria and where you meet the other person's criteria. If so you meet, up, hopefully things go well, but a lot of times they won't and you just have to move on to another candidate.

You also need to go in with the mindset that if you're going through a matchmaking company, the person is going to have some sort of flaw. Because if they didn't, they wouldn't be using the matchmaking company, they would be easily getting into a relationship. As a guy you're not gonna find a 21 year old virgin supermodel via a matchmaking company. As a female you're not gonna find a 35 year old 6 foot 2 doctor making $400,000 a year.

If she paid $5,000 for one match, I do think she got massively ripped off. Personally I think that's worth the agency looking for matches for her for a year. Granted, the pricing structures could be totally different for a 30 something year old man versus a 30 something year old woman. I also wouldn't be surprised, if similar to egg freezing stories, she was told all the risks, that she was paying for a first date and that she'd be responsible from there, that she would have to be willing to settle on certain things, and she completely ignored those things under some sort of delusion that the type of men she wants are both plentiful and looking for someone like her.

Reminds me of an old story...
