Update:

School does have a program for boys in a similar manner. I was misinformed and this happens outside of school.

Niether of my boys new about the boys program and it was not announced. The boys program was going to be "re announced" today.

Have 2 boys and the school runs fun day for the girls for self esteem where the boys receive regular classes. This is done twice a year, on is an outdoor team building day for the girls where they go to a day camp and do some outdoor activities, and an indoor program called girls on the go. The boys get no such programs. My short message to the principal...

Good Day,   With our second boy running through your school, we have again been notified that they have been excluded from a program run by your school. There is and has not been an equivalent program provided to the excluded group.   The boys in your school are excluded and marginalized on the basis of sex, and a comparable program needs to be offered. “Girls on the go!” sounds like a wonderful program. A program that aims to address poor self-esteem, body satisfaction, self-efficacy, and other health items. You may be surprised to learn that boys also suffer from many of the same issues, and sometimes more as they are often excluded as unimportant or secondary to other groups.   Being excluded is harmful to the boys in your school, and both years we have had our children complain about being excluded. The message being sent, and received, by our boys is that their mental health is not as important, their self-esteem is not as important, that they are not as important.   I would like to know what you are intending to provide to the boys in way of a program that addresses their mental health. What program is being offered for them? Do they matter? Has the school told them that they matter? Most importantly has the school shown them that they matter.   Without an equivalent or similar opportunity being provided to the boys, the answer appears to be no. I find this deeply concerning.

Edit:

This is in Canada so no title x.

Only sent this today, so no reply and don't really expect one today. Will follow up with email to board if no reply by week end
