Men like sex.

Attractive men can get sex easy. Unattractive men still cheat.

Women have less incentive to initiate divorce and have been linked to a 26% increase in poverty along with children while men have no links to poverty.

Both men and women have incentives to hide cheating, i think that is obvious.

Men tend to remarry faster than women after a divorce.

I don't see the point in this post besides trying to blame women for cheating.

I have 2 degrees in psychology, specializing in relationships and this is statistically untrue. Men and women cheat with around the same frequency (it’s split close to even), however men cheat just slightly more often.

Regardless of statistics; No one accidentally falls on some dick. Dicks aren’t self-erecting. Cheating is ultimately individual choice.

Agreed statistics are important. We however can’t live in fear of them. To negate cheating; stringent vetting, open communication, and trust, is still the healthiest way forward.

I think you can definitely reasonably say "they hide it better and don't let it show" but the connection from that -> "they cheat more" is a big jump considering admitted anonymously its 13% women 20% men

Whilst I am sympathetic to the spirit of this, I think some parts of what is presented here are overstated, or expressed poorly.

And I will be fair, were the sexual marketplace skewed in favour of men to the same degree, I would largely expect similar behaviour from men (with specific exceptions).

Human beings in general are rather good at thinking themselves uniquely above temptation. Often, they are either naive, not terribly self aware or full of shit in varying degrees.

They're not "better" at anything. In this day and age, all the evidence you need is on their phone, and your SO can easily wait for you to eventually type your phone lock password in front of them. Therefore if men aren't catching women cheating, it's simply because men don't care to investigate as much as women do.

Guy's have girls they're always flirting with too. In fact it's a known thing that you're more desirable if you're already in a relationship.

I think the needs women have for sex work differently than men. It's more about taking advantage of a once in a lifetime opportunity. Whereas for men it's about feeding a beast.

Many women spend most of their time not encountering that opportunity, so they don't really have a reason to cheat. Some are less sexual.

But with the millennial generation, cheating is basically at 50% for women and unchanged for men.

I don’t think your argument is well supported here. I certainly agree that women have incentives to hide infidelity (everyone does, I think, but I find it reasonable to believe that women have more reason to fear their affairs being discovered). But I don’t have any compelling reason to believe that women are actually better on the whole at hiding or lying. And it’s difficult to really pin down actual numbers for affairs since so much depends on self-reporting of something that we’ve already agreed most people have a reason to want to hide.

Anyway, I don’t really think it matters. Anyone who thinks women don’t (or rarely) cheat hasn’t been paying attention. Exact percentages divided by gender don’t seem very useful since they aren’t going to provide actionable information to use in decision-making.
