Sometimes people react a certain way towards others based on other factors completely separate from the niceness lens. People aren’t programmed by computer code logic, but a complex array of things.

None of the women I've dated would have dated me if they hadn't thought that I was kind, so I wouldn't call it an afterthought. I needed to be confident too, of course, but they wouldn't have bothered with me if I weren't kind because they were the type of women who wanted relationships with men and not to sleep casually with them.

I’m sure it’s true to some extent but it’s really reductionist to boil it down to just that. I mean you don’t see women going crazy for Biden. And saying it’s all women is too. I’ve met women where that is the most important thing and some who don’t care at all. Plus a lot of women are ambitious and want power themselves, those people usually want relationships with someone more grounded so they have somewhere to get away to.

It reminds me of those people who say that women only care about status, but then definite status as looks, confidence, money, influence, charisma, height, etc. Like yeah if you define it as every positive trait then people only go for status. And when talking about human behavior saying the word “only” is usually a bad idea, we are way too complex to be able to describe in a paragraph.

Being attractive makes men attractive. Power/money just makes women that desire the trappings that power/ money brings more willing to give sex to that man for the return she can get.

Since they exhausted their source material, the Bandaid’s Ta- I mean the Handmaids Tale has turned to shit but I keep bingeing while I do other stuff. Just finished season 4 episode 5 which had me thinking about this.

Two of the main characters take shelter with a rebel group but their leader wants some sexual favors in return. They haven’t eaten or slept in a gazillion days but June freaks out and wants to leave. Janine just fucking blows him and is like “now here’s some bread June you’re welcome.” It’s not hard to see how women evolved to trade sex for resources if they lived in a hostile environment, and of course men are men and will fuck anything they can, but the odds that that special someone was helpless increased their odds.

Considering they were simultaneously shoehorning a modern abortion narrative into said character’s backstory (in which she has a SON who she’s NEVER mentioned before and NEVER did again) I don’t really know if the writers intended this analysis or if it was just men=bad.

But then again they also form a little romance together and he’s kind of soft on her, not just demonstrating power but flirting with her, spending time with her, etc. So it does make me think that generosity and kindness must go in hand with raw power to be attractive to women. Raw power alone doesn’t provide a slice of bread and a warm place to sleep.

I completely agree with you. However, I would add one distinction here when it comes to female psychology—which is sexual attraction vs. sexual selection.

One of the main issues when it comes to any sort of discussion and analyzation of women's sexual behavior is how risk-averse and political women are (political in the literal sense, not just in the government sense.)

Men are not as risk-averse as women and therefore have a smaller buffer between their true desires and their behavior. Men are also hardwired (and to an extent socialised) to NOT be dependent on others, which means there is a higher likelihood that a man's behavior is indicative of what he actually feels.

Women's risk aversion and social dependence (even emotionally, if anything else) makes them very conscious of others when making sexual choices. A common red pill axiom is "What women say they respond to and what they actually respond are often different things. Or is even the opposite."

But I would take this a step further and say that what women respond to and who they actually end up fucking are also often different. This means there is an inherent sense of mystery when it comes to knowing what they actually want. Because they have the ability to keep it secret. This is why the pick-up/red pill community is so important—real stories (and proof) from other men about what actually gets SEX is what sets men free from all of the problems and pitfalls of gender dynamics.

And so to an extent, we could argue that it doesn't even really matter who women are attracted to. Who are they actually sleeping with? Short-term and long-term, but especially short-term. That's the question.

I agree that women are more nuanced when it comes to what they’re attracted to. Respective to men anyways. I once dated (on and off over several years) a woman who thought Jeff Bezos was very attractive. This girl was a 9 (and an easy 10 with her hair and makeup done). His money and power literally made him physically attractive to her.

Women are very sexually aroused by extreme power. The more power man has the more sexual success he will get. Most women only have extreme sexual desire and sexually fantasize the most about the absolute highest value man with the absolute most status. Women are hypergamous by nature they will monkey branch to a man they perceive as being more valuable than the man that she's currently with. So women maybe more so than men have an extremely hard time actually being loyal to a man. Back to the first thing I said, women are highly turned on by vast amounts of power that a man holds. It's absolutely true that the vast majority of humans only do things it will get them something that they want. Almost nobody is doing something for someone else just because. Men will do whatever it is they have to do or they're going to do to get the women that they sexually fantasize about no matter how evil how insidious how treacherous or disgusting it may be. A man could be a high-powered high status highly influential piece of filth and women will not care because more than likely he can afford them a life of luxury and lavishness that they fantasize about and deeply desire. Women will say they hate toxic masculinity but it actually makes them very wet. They will stay with a multi-millionaire almost billionaire no matter how many other women he knocks up behind their back. So yeah the "women are wonderful" idea is an absolute garbage lie especially because nobody can prove that women women generally actually truly want to be wonderful just for the sake of being wonderful. But then I guess maybe humans in general aren't inherently wonderful.
