The whole point of men telling women to approach more is very simple. Some men are just shy and won't make the move even if they like the woman. If women start approaching men, then they statistically increase their chances of finding a man they want. Of course if the guy doesn't find you attractive, you won't get any brownie points or be seen as more attractive in general, exactly just like when men do the approaching. Nothing is guaranteed. A) if a man really really wants a woman, he will ask her out himself.

B) all of the guys I ever wanted to ask out have asked me out instead

C) when you ask a guy out he will think you are easy, a joke, or someone to humiliate or to use.
