I'm 25 and just experienced a breakup. Thank god I wasn't married and didn't have kids with this girl. I tried to get her back but she became colder and colder each time. I ended up deleting her number and removing her on socials to avoid further embarrassment. I knew exactly what would happen because I watch a lot of dating material, I know you're supposed to go cold turkey and do no contact; I guess I thought she was an exception, but nope. I fooled myself.

I thought our relationship was going great tbh. I don't understand how this could happen. How do they just throw away everything so quickly? Why do they listen to their friends who call you abusive, even though you weren't? When I was with her, there was literally only her, I wasn't talking to anyone else.

On her end, well she ended up admitting to me that she had tinder and bumble accounts, although inactive - but I still saw it as a betrayal because I had deleted mine completely and she was keeping men as backups. Plus she lied since she said she had deleted them.

This story is so common, I see it in the west all the time. What the heck is going on? I'm from an eastern country originally and people there stay together for decades. People fight for their relationships no matter what happens. Why are men so disposable in the west? I feel like trash. She threw me out like I am nothing.
