Maybe it's just me, and the company I keep, but it's been over year now where pretty much every new interesting woman I meet and go out with is not just older than me but also tend to be successful high value women, good looking, educated and independent. I am not bragging because I do make the effort to try and appeal to women like this - in my own way - because they are just attractive and I like being with them.

I find them very easy to relate with and talk to. I know what their appeal is to me: They are good looking, friendly, stable, secure in themselves, far less drama than younger girls, and I guess they do not have all these expectations they throw at me. They just enjoy what I offer for what I am and don't snap their fingers rushing me to buy a house, earn a raise, get a better job etc. Successful independent women already have all of that for themselves so they do not expect any man to provide that.

So then I am left wondering what is women's appeal to a guy who is

  1. Much younger
  2. Comes and goes independently himself
  3. A future with him is not guaranteed
  4. Is willing to have kids but doesn't like the idea of marriage
  5. Much less successful or independent than she is

I know the physical appeal, I groom and dress well and I have a good attitude and I am also mature and stable even though I like to goof around for fun.

In short: Howcome independent and successful women lately (that I know of) seem to be giving younger less successful and less independent males like me a chance when supposedly this is not even supposed to be happening? Because (according to the stereotype) hypergamy should be pushing women to desire older, richer, and way more successful men. All I have is looks but what else is there? I don't really offer anything other than my presence lol.

I am just interested in what more women think. I have asked my girl friends in real life but I want to contrast what they have told me with what women who are disinterested & not involved may have to say about it.
