If all goes according to plan, I will have my divorce finalized on Thursday.

I'm trying to do the final math to figure out how much I will NET in my divorce.

I was married 15 years. I brought about $100,000 in assets into the marriage. My STBX/NEX brought maybe $200,000 into the marriage.

Over the course of the 15 year marriage, we accumulated approximately $982,000 in marital assets. That DOES NOT INCLUDE what we brought into the marriage and doesn't include property we bought together (of which, I received next to none).

After everything is said and done, I will NET about $116,000.

Meaning, after paying all of my debt incurred fighting off my STBX/NEX, I will have about $216,000 to my name (but that includes the $100,000 I brought into the marriage).

In all, my net worth grew approximately $7,733.00 per year, for the last 15 years. Of course, this is back of the envelope math and may not be exact, but that's about what I'm figuring.

My net economic position improved about $7,733.00 for each year that I was married.

I spent about $250,000 fighting for my children and lost that battle. I'm basically an every other weekend day now, with two dinners a week. So I spent all of my money just trying to be equally involved in my children's lives and completely got financially obliterated trying to do so.

The Divorce system is criminal.
