Is promiscuity all that bad? What if a woman has only been promiscuous with other women?

There are men like me who aren’t all that bothered by promiscuity in the past. I’ve mostly dated bisexual women. However if a woman said she mostly just sleeps with other women in the past it would be far from a turnoff but I would have some questions for her around if women are strongly her preference as I’d have some nagging doubts if I as a male am what she wants.

I'm not sure if most men care about that, since their issues are likely more about false paternity fears. Some men might actually like a woman who used to be promiscuous with other women, as they might believe that it would increase their chances of having a MFF threesome.

I personally don't like casual sexual behavior with whomever, and I'd rather date a woman who had five previous relationships then one who had two or three casual sex encounters in the past. But I think that I'm more of an exception compared to the other men who don't like promiscuity.

I'm more trying to avoid a partner who has a pattern of not being able to sustain attraction to their sexual partners or form deeper romantic bonds. I don't really care if she was with men or women.

If a woman had a few relationships that didn't work out, that's fine. If she was engaging in tons of casual sex (with men or women) and never formed any serious relationships, that's a red flag for me.

I don't know about same sex relationships but to the extent you bond with people and subsequently break that bond could have a cumulative harmful effect. We know with heterosexual couples, psychologists tell us promiscuity is a strong predictor of infidelity, marital dissatisfaction and divorce.

Peoplle are free to do what they want but If you look at statistics , promiscuous women divorce more and have the lowest marital satisfaction rates among women. Whereas, women who are virgins before marriage statistically have the happiest marriages and the highest marital satisfaction

A lot of women who talk about their exes or past relationships bring up the word trauma quite a bit. So, if we take them at their word, that would signal that more relationships/etc = more trauma. But hey, everyone gets to choose their own path.

Most of the men complaining about promiscuity would love to be promiscuous and can't. Obviously you should be careful about things like diseases and unwanted pregnancy, but it won't damage your pair bonding or whatever stupid shit it is they say.

I think part of the stigma around promiscuity is that it can be indicative of trust/commitment issues, or unwillingness to be emotionally invested in a relationship. Some people are promiscuous because they want sex without strings attached, and don’t happen to be in a relationship— that’s not really the same thing. There’s definitely a correlation but it isn’t necessarily true for 100% of people

I think it’s all fake and has more to do with the reasons someone is promiscuous than the promiscuity itself. I know quite a few women who were promiscuous for fun and eventually found a guy they fell in love with and are now happily married. I know some women who were promiscuous because of issues with self esteem and other psychological issues and they are not happy now and never have been. They’re the ones bringing up past traumatic relationships and have a hard time forming relationships now. If you’re really just having friends w benefits and not getting heartbroken over and over then I think you’ll be fine.

Eh I don't really know or care all that much about the bonding stuff. Might be true or might not be true. There seems to be alot of studies showing it might be true, but I don't really care. Promiscuity is bad in my eyes simply because it just turns me off, like gives me an ick or whatever. Hard to recover from that, usually I don't even want to recover because the woman isn't all that great.

Most straight men won’t care if it’s mostly been with other women because your typical bisexual woman will treat men as more serious and long-term partners than they will women. Your average straight man is not threatened by bi or lesbian women as a result. If anything, he’s likely to be turned on the by possibility of a threesome

I think on a biological level women having sex with women is just seen as some harmless fun because it can’t lead to pregnancy. A man who lets her girl sleep with other men will just get yeeted out of the gene pool, but her sleeping with other women has no evolutionary disadvantage.

Some people will care and others won't. A bigger problem you'll run into is men who care that you're into women at all, not necessarily that you slept with them or the amount. I personally care about promiscuity in a gender-neutral way - I don't want a promiscuous partner whether they're male or female and whether they've been with men or women or both. Those who are LGB tend to care less about promiscuity in general, though.

depends on the individual and the cause/reason for the promiscuity imo - if it is just fun and she’s genuinely in a mentally healthy place and isn’t looking for things like validation, love, and so on. Then go nuts, no harm done - if its used as a route towards validation, compensation for a lack of love and so on, then she probably shouldn’t be promiscuous

I disagree with the redpills reasons for how it can affect marriage, however I believe it to be a thing for different reason. I can't recite the where exactly from but I heard that this is a phenomenon observed by pornstars and sex addicts where obviously they have lot of sex and so they get used to and desensitized to release of oxytocin which is called the "love hormone." Not only does it release when feeling love towards someone, it also releases during sex, and so eventually they'll come to a point where because they are desensitized to oxytocin, it would lead to harder time feeling and being intimate towards their SO.

Which I'm pretty sure the sentiment was expressed by pornstars at some point, or maybe I'm just conflating things. But at least that's the hypothesis I guess. I think if oxytocin is as straight forward as that, which I'm not sure I'm not a neuroscientist, I'm just gonna believe that it makes sense that any kind of too much sexual activity could lead to such. Don't quote me on it though as I'm writing this based on very vague and loose memorization of some article I saw at some point lol.

What men are referring to is a loss of pair bonding ability. I don't have the data on hand to back up what I say so feel free to dismiss it entirely. But there were studies that showed women produced diminishing levels of whichever chemicals facilitate bonding with each successive partner, and that this was not the case in men. Those old studies are the basis of the idea that womens body counts ruin them but mens don't. As far as a woman who only has been with other women, I would assume most men would not be bothered as much by this for obvious reasons. If he is the first male, he doesn't feel he is being compared to potentially better D. He is not in sexual competition with other women so they aren't a threat as previous partners

I think the idea is that to be a promiscuous person means you would have to have some flawed or undesirable traits like manipulation and no care for connection etc. Like I can be promiscuous but I would just hate myself afterwards/during Cus I need to be a shitty person in order to sleep with so many people. Sure if you are honest and open from the start it’s less bad but still doesn’t change the fact that majority don’t want to sleep around imo so some people will still end up hurt from it. I don’t like zherka but he mentioned how one “chad” will fuck with a girl and then she will go on to break tons of other guys hearts in this cycle. TLDR; The personality traits needed to be promiscuous are shitty and undesirable no matter the gender.
