Whenever TRP says that men find women of all backrounds attractive, while women generally only find men who are at their level or superior attractive , people try to counter that by saying that rich men usually marry women who also come from a rich background.

Yea... but this has nothing to do with what men find attractive. Men find women of all backrounds attractive but only marry someone around their own level for practical reasons. There is pressure from their families to marry someone "appropriate".

Comparatively, women usually don't even consider men who are "below them".

You can even see it in female-oriented romantic literature compared to male-dominated romantic literature. The male-centered one usually features a romantic love interest that is cute and supportive. Sometimes she's the damsel in distress and the man has to save her. There is little consideration on whether she is rich or powerful.

Meanwhile, in female-oriented literature, the male love interest usually has to be a literal billionaire. Pick up a random romance novel written for women by women and there's a 95% chance the male love interest is either extremely rich or a "bad boy" or a prince or a vampire or some combination of the above.
