It seems that some of us have different goals. Some of us want long term intimacy, and some of us want to smash as many women as possible. I'm the former, and I'm doubting that will ever be a reality.

I feel like most steps of dating you have to be inauthentic. Don't text too much, don't be clingy, don't show too much interest. What if I genuinely want to text a lot and lay out all my cards? What if I want to express my genuine desires? I don't want to hide who I am, and it seems like most dating advice is being someone who you're not.

I am an insecure person, and I am clingy. It's been this way my whole life(28 years old.) I really don't see myself 180ing and becoming stoic, emotionless, gigachad. I'm handsome, i'm in good shape, i have things going for me, i've been to therapy, but I have had a traumatic childhood. Maybe some of us are just not meant to be successful in this realm.

For the first time in a year, I had sex and was intimate and vulnerable with a woman. But I chased her away with my vulnerability. It could be she didn't feel chemistry as well, but i suspect it was because i was too open. Now all i'm left with is a heavy chest and never wanting to do it again. It's just so painful. I just want love, and i want it to be authentic.
