What does this sub think of the adage “women are human beings, men are human doings”

I've heard it as: "Women are sex objects, men are success objects". It just boils down to attraction triggers from the opposite sex.

Both men and women have to provide something for others to be liked and to be rewarded.

Even to be pretty women have to do things - do their hair, do makeup, keep their weight healthy, do sport etc. But women aren't valued just as pretty paintings or sculptures, they're also expected to provide things. We don't get paid or financially supported just for being pretty. Even gold diggers and prostitutes provide far more than their appearance - they exchange sex and attention for money. That's still doing something. Most women study, work, pay bills, take care of the ones around them etc. All of these are things you do.

Both men and women are valued for their looks and for what they provide, the only thing that changes is the ratio between these two.

Women increasingly no longer need to depend on a man for his paycheck, so it's not looking good for men on that front. However, this means many women will have to face a choice of settling or remaining alone, because there won't be enough "quality men" (who can offer something substantial beyond a paycheck) to go around. For the vast majority of women, remaining alone is going to be the more undesirable outcome so there will be more settling for a committed relationship.

So in the end, both men and women will take what they can get, most don't have the luxury of options. Sure, women can get sex more easily as the gatekeepers, but they have to settle for commitment since in a monogamous society both men and women have roughly equal leverage.

We're all human doings. No one gets to coast by and have a happy relationship without doing anything. This mentality comes from conveniently writing off your partner's actions as "being" while you get to call your own actions "doing" and feel like a hero/martyr over it.

Hell I see single women without kids doing more “dutiful” things for her family like babysitting and hosting holiday dinners and taking care of aging elders, as well as flipping the financial bill, more than her single male peers.

It is possible for both genders to leverage the social legitimacy of their mere existence in order to secure a living without having to do anything, but it is not a enviable existence for many who do take up on that.

After all, the NEET is effectively leveraging the [supposed] inherent value of human dignity in order to extract the necessary resources of his continued existence from others, and even feeling mighty superior than the ones who are contributing said resources. Yet chances are not many men/males of this subreddit are willing to reduce themselves to such a life (which really is just a male version of snagging a provider).

Men approach, women are passive. That's the law. The law of nature. And that's according to Blue Pill AND Red Pill. If a man can't perform in this manner, he is regarded (particularly by women) as severely socially incompetent, borderline unable to function as a human being. No such onus falls upon women in this regard.

There is also a dynamic in relationships where both partners get bored of their routine eventually, but again the onus for putting in effort falls upon the man. YOu typically hear "he stopped putting in effort". You rarely hear the gender inverse version "she stopped putting in effort". Because just being present and being a woman is regarded as her sufficient contribution to the relationship.

Because women get a lot of value right off the bat. It is unearned value based entirely on their womanhood, the fact that they produce the next generation and the male sex-drive.

Men do not get a freebie at all. Individual men might have a lot of freebies at the beginning. But as a general rule, a man must create his own value.

Pretty women do a lot of things to maintain that, some women will never be pretty no matter what they do, and we all get old eventually.

"Society" includes women, and women care more about behavior than looks.

Women are also aware of how much of someone's appearance comes from filters and artificial enhancements, so the same woman a man deems "valuable" is pretty ordinary to other women unless she's damn near genetically perfect.

I think about my family and I value each just for who they are. It doesn't matter if they are male or female.

I don't doubt that some people strongly prefer one gender or the other but once I get to know someone, who they are as an individual overshadows their gender.

It's true pretty much everywhere. But in the West it was taken to its utmost extreme from the 1700s onwards. It reached its nadir in the 2000s and now there's a harsh reversion to the mean. Western women will really not like this reversion. Now it's still the mild decline phase. The rest of this decade will be sooo much fun :D
