How tall? 100% identical in every way? If one is 5’5 and one is 6’ then I take 6’. If one is 5’11 and one 6’4 I take 5’11.

But face >height all day in my opinion. Fat or excessive bodybuilder types are my only physical dealbreakers. Just can’t feel attraction to those body types

No, I would truthfully never pick a partner solely on appearance, height, money, etc. Contrary to what is wildly promoted here, women want actual partners with real personality, compassion, love, interests, etc.

No. I'm short myself and the taller a guy is the more logistical challenges arise. I was hesitant to date my current BF because of our height gap but gradually adjusted. On our first date I accidentally kept talking to his chest instead of his face. To this day I accidentally drag him through tree branches and stuff from time to time.

All things being equal (comparable personality, morals, ethics, etc.) with the only difference being height, I would typically choose the shorter one.

The men here never believe me; so I usually don't answer height questions anymore. But (in addition to my romantic history over the course of most of my life) there is actually a way to test this, during which I selected the facial cues for shorter height without knowing what it was testing.

if all else is equal, yes i’d pick the taller one

if both are minimum 5’9 and the taller one is uglier, id pick the more handsome shorter one

as long as the guy is 5’9 minimum, face > personality > height

if he’s under 5’9 he has next to no chance w me, unless he’s absolutely perfect and 5’8 at the absolute shortest

I've never picked a dude purely on how he looked or how tall he was (or wasn't). And there's really different types of attractive. Ultimately, I think my favorite trait is a man's face, particularly smile and eyes.

It depends on their heights

If it’s a guy who is 5’4 and a guy who is 5’10 I’ll go for 5’10

If it’s a guy who is 5’8 and one who is 6’3 I’ll go for 5’8 because over 6’0 is too tall imo

I’m 5’6, so a difference of over 6’0 would be too problematic for me, in terms of logistics. I love guys from 5’8-5’11. They look so cute to me. I can’t explain why it seems my ingrained preference. My partner is 5’8 to my 5’6. It is perfect. This is just me though. I know some women prefer men who are much taller than that.

This hypo isn’t realistic at all - there’s never going to be two perfectly equal attractive men besides height, but I’ll be honest and say yeah height is a factor for me - I find tall guys more attractive even though I’ve dated less tall men and still loved them and found them attractive.

I never really understood the point of these hypotheticals.

Yes, women in general prefer their male partners to be taller than them. But it's not a linear progression. A man who is 195cm isn't automatically more attractive than his identical twin, who is 180cm tall. Both of them will be taller than the average woman. The average woman is likely to pick the shorter one in this case, because he's closer to the median. Taller than her, but not by too much. If the woman herself is on the taller side, she might prefer the 195cm one.

But we all know these situations are unrealistic. There's never "two completely identical men, but one is taller gun to your head pick one".

My shorty best friend recently got together with a short king. I tower over them both. A man of his height wouldn't be a deal breaker for me necessarily, but it would certainly need getting used to.

If they are literally identical other than height, I’m choosing the taller one. My favorite feature on men is long legs.

But that is an unlikely scenario.

There are many factors in what make men attractive and short men can be drop dead gorgeous. I love looking at tall men but there are so many ways a man can be attractive. Hair, eyes, hands, the way he moves, his voice, his attitude, his personality, his lips, his legs, his abs….. being tall is just one way to be attractive. It’s not a necessity.

I prefer people who are almost identical to my height, I just like being able to be comparable that way, makes stuff more enjoyable for me. So it'd end up being whichever was the closest to that, if the taller one is, sure. If the shorter one is, also sure. I just want the most similar.
