I used this subreddit as a case study for my honors thesis during undergrad, lol, and ended up staying because I got to know a lot of the people here.

Prior to this, I was on r/RedPillWomen, and I was dating at that time. The reason I asked if you meant to flair this Q4RP is because, technically, the goal of TRP is for men to improve their sexual outcomes, and by extension their dating lives; and the goal for RPW is to find and maintain mutually satisfactory marriages. So being red pill doesn’t really exclude you from wanting to date.

Well, of course that's the easy solution. The reason people keep discussing it is because most people still want relationships, sex, marriage, or families.

Telling people to stop dating is a bit like telling someone who wants a career to stop applying for jobs because the process is frustrating. It technically solves the complaint, but it doesn't solve the underlying desire.

Most people aren't trying to figure out how to avoid dating. They're trying to figure out how to make dating work. That's why the discussions keep happening, even when they turn into gender wars half the time.

This is mostly a discussion sub, so it has less complaining than other places to be honest. Then use your brain and ask yourself a question: why would you find people NOT interested in either discussion/pills/complaining here?

I don’t have any desire to date around just because. I’m open to pursuing a specific woman if I catch feelings for her, but otherwise I have zero desire pretty much for anything romantic.

Also, this sub is pretty entertaining.

Because despite what this cesspool of a sub will have you believe, a lot of men and women are well adjusted, understanding individuals.

I will say if you heavily identify with red pill, blue pill, feminism, manosphere, etc. you’re gonna have more difficulty because your views are typically extreme.

Personally it is because I am heterosexual and find women attractive. So there's two ways to have sexual relations with women: keep dating, or pay for sex. I'm uncomfortable with prostitution/sugar dating so I keep dating.

I see far more men complaining about women than the inverse. Which makes sense because I don’t think women have the same general issues with dating.

90% of complaints and self reported issues on this sub can be solved by a man simply being the best of both worlds of the two stereotypical groups of "empathetic, open minded, kind soyboy" and "confident, strong, masculine alpha male". Singling out the positives from both sides you become a golden unicorn.

I don’t understand how this isn’t something more people consider.

I actually stopped dating men for over seven years. I dated women and had a relationship with a woman during that time. When I met my boyfriend, I wasn’t looking for anything and never intended on dating a man again. Truly, I just like discussions. I did largely give up on dating, because it’s inevitable to be hurt, and majority of us aren’t going to find the person of our dreams, it’s just better to be alone. But I do like general talking points with people, and deeper conversations, so Reddit does what’s needed.
