I was just like you, in reverse.

I was so incredibly jaded by women because all my dating experiences and previous marriage were women who were just horrible, selfish, self-important women. I didn't believe that a good woman existed.

Then I met my wife. While I believe she is a special snowflake... Well, she's a special snowflake. Like nobody else I've ever met.

Also, MRP taught me that I was responsible for how I was treated. I was a beta that bought into the happy wife, happy life bullshit. I sacrificed myself trying to make them happy instead of treating them like adults that are responsible for their own happiness.

NAMALT. Seriously. Not All Men Are Like That. The majority of one's I know are certainly not. It's why I'm a Purple Piller like you, OP. And you can definitely meet a good man. I can throw a doughnut and hit, like, 5 at a time in my social circle.

I also do not drink to any amount of excess, nor have I ever done drugs, weed or otherwise. I don't have any tattoos or piercings or long, straight hair. I do work full-time because, well, ya gotta be an adult...but make less than 50k a year. I'm, almost 30, a size 6, a little chubby imo, and I do all the housework, cooking, and cleaning because I live alone and there's that whole adult thing again. There must be a reason behind this. It's not like these men came from relatively stable and happy relationships with women and decided to start a club talking about how deceptive, manipulative and abusive women are. They might actually be experiencing it in their relationships.

Instead of relying on a man to be a family leader who loves, sacrifices for, and cares about his family, I have to live life knowing that men are resentful about being fathers, providing for families, and don't love their wives or families.

This is because men have begun waking up and realizing that marriage is a shitty deal for them. He now realizes that he's locked in a contract in which a significant portion of his resources will be put in the hands of a woman who can leave him if he doesn't bend to her will, or if she gets bored, or if she finds someone more attractive. And it's not enough for her to get more resources from him through divorce than she needs, but she also has to tarnish his reputation with stories about domestic violence that are either unfounded or fabricated, and the feminist court system is all in her favor. Ask Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp.

Anything I ask for from my husband, it looks like he would expect me to return with weird sexual favors. It looks like my husband will DEMAND for me to work full time, provide a 6-figure salary, never get chubby, have straight hair, do all the housework, cooking, and cleaning, and stay young looking at all times while he drinks alcohol, watches porn, smokes weed, and plays video games all day as a mental paralytic who constantly complains about me online.

The Manosphere doesn't teach men to be oppressive, control freaks who just sit around all day while she does everything. It helps men improve themselves by exhibiting masculine qualities such as leadership, fitness, grooming, confidence, and relationship-management that women ultimately find attractive.

It also exposes deception and manipulation in women and feminism, and how men can navigate that in ways to ensure they're getting a fair deal in their relationships with women.

Reading too much of any sort of x-centric material tends to do that to you.

There's a lot of vitriol and more importantly hyperbole on TRP and much of the content is produced by men who are bitter, angry and dejected. A good deal of what you read there can be best summed up as revenge fantasies that will rarely come to fruition. Not to go full BP and paint them all with a broad brush, but so many of the men there are failed omegas with a lot of angst and a variety of other issues.

Remember, NAMALT. To put things in perspective, TRP has fewer subscribers than some niche gaming subs. Their views are not representative of all men, especially not ones out in the real world.

Women hold all the power in relationships, especially when younger. Sadly, many of them are not using it in a responsible, considerate and compassionate manner.

The Internet is not real life. You will find hateful/scared people of EVERY GROUP on here. The ones that lose themselves usually participate in these echo chamber type message boards where everyone is validating how horrible "the other" is.

There are extremists in every category.

When it comes to relationships everyone wants to be loved. But some see their SO as an opponent....men do it, women do it, gay, straight, etc it doesn't matter.

My advice is to stop seeking out the worst of what the opposite sex has to offer. Get off these silly message boards. Talk to men in REAL LIFE. Look them in the eyes. See that they're humans. Make a real connection. And when you fall in love and it hits you like a ton of bricks (which it will) then be as brave as possible and do your best to love them. Even when you start feeling vulnerable & defensive....which i guarantee will happen because relationships have the tendency to bring out each of our deeper emotional issues. But if you both respect each other and understand the other one is a flawed human who is just doing their best then you might just make it.

Just remember that although TRP claims to be some kind of mouthpiece for all men everywhere, they really, really aren't. TRP men aren't representative of men in general; they're a small, socially maladjusted subculture with a massive chip on their collective shoulder. And it means they genuinely want to sacrifice for family etc. It basically means there's only three ways a marriage that follows that "TRP tale" can fail: 1. you neglect him way too much 2. you cheat on him and he catches it [kind of like #1], or 3. Somehow in porno-film style, the hottest thing ever just stumbles into his life w/o him ever doing anything to get it [this is impossible].

So basically even by their own narrative, you're good to go. The majority of guys are exactly what you say you want to think a man is like.

And if you really believe the narrative and want those things, you want to find yourself a 'beta bucks' and not date a suave, charismatic guy. Or else he'll be a dreaded natural. Fuckin' Chads.

This is the reason why people with little experience or people looking to learn about relationships shouldn't be using internet to educate themselves about such life experience. Forums are biased towards people with very bad experience. People with good experience are less likely to use the forums to tell the world about their relationships and how they feel about the opposite sex.
