It may be a personal bias, but in every relationship I know the woman is always the one pushing for cohabitation, children, marriage, gifts, attention, and favors of any sort. It is never the opposite.

Some of these dynamics can be easily explained and accepted by the difference between the sexes, as in case where commitment and children are involved. I won't complain about that. However I wonder what women think of themselves when they feel entitled to ask favors and special treatments on a day to day basis, even when they know they won't reciprocate:

"Can you pick me up?" "Can you give me X?" "Can you perform Y for me?"

It's also worth noting that as the relationship progresses, more and more demands are put on the table in a way that usually make the man feel accustomed to them until he eventually realises it's a one way street.

Some men end up eventually becoming little drones for their GFs and wifes (without the partners actually compensating enough for all the favors they receive), and when men complain or demand that this fact is acknowledged, they get told to suck it up.

And before you say it, no, in most of the cases the woman may think "she does stuff for the man" in exchange but it's usually a disproportionate amount of efforts and favors going from the man to the woman. This is at least my experience.

I think this is an innate and yet very toxic and discouraging behaviour women employ, which make men feel used in the long run.

Is this a trend you have witnessed as well? Do you think this disparity should be more studied or acknowledged? Do you think men are right in feeling used after a certain line is crossed?
