I agree. I just got banned for calling out a woman who said that she thought that women who filed should be considered “brave” or “heroic”. I defined that heroic isn’t selfish. I got banned for not being supportive and being “helpful”. Isn’t it funny? Asking someone to use words in the way they are defined is not helpful. Apparently all you are allowed to do is tell people what they want to hear.

If you want to get a good picture of women's mentality,

Take a trip down the

"waiting to wed" sub where you'll hear them complain about their boyfriend being afraid of commitment and how they been waiting too long for their boyfriend. And their boyfriend is a boy and not a man and not ready to grow up.
Then go to the "marriage" sub and learn how women never benefit from marriage and they are being manipulated to get married so men can take advantage of them with their generous free unpaid labour and carrying the household. The same women begging to get married in the previous sub are saying getting married was their worst mistake.
Then go to "divorced women" sub and hear how she was so brave to end it, and how she made the right call and why she deserves so much better and swears the man will fall apart now that he's no longer in his life. And then angry when he thriving and finds himself a better partner talking about "how come he moved on this fast, he never cared about me"
Then go to "womenover40" sub and learn how the men in the dating pool don't take them serious, and they are all losers and they are intimated by a great catch like her.

It's as if women can never take anything seriously and their commitment only goes as far as their emotions go. Which mean not very far.

Know that they are mostly governed by their feelings. Like children. Once you understand this, everything makes sense.

I don't think that thread is terribly different than this one, but whoever invented the term "weaponized incompetence" should walk into the ocean. At its core, not learning how to do a chore properly to get out of doing it makes some sense, so long as "properly" is not a weird arbitrary thing that one person decides the terms of. But every small thing that happens that you don't like is not a "weapon" against you. My god, listen to yourself and how that sounds.

(My ex would be the first to admit I did more than my share of housework so this has nothing to do with me personally).

My ex used reddit to not only vent in those places, but she literally met someone out of state in the USA to monkey branch on one of those toxic forums. Basically they got along talking shit about me and his ex wife. Literally got engaged while we were separated. Now they are married and I'm coparenting.

Basically feel like a Reddit thread came to life and wrecked me.

Very few are all bad or all good. But some of thar stuff is so far detached and so removed from any accountability its a posion.

In a world stripping away anonymity I wonder if it will survive. Save for those comfortable in that role. The burner account level is profound.

I don’t have time to check it out but I scrolled a bit down and saw mostly normal titles that are comparable to the stuff that shows up in this subreddit. Mostly sane, a few bitter outliers….but this subreddit has those too. Last week there was a guy in here quoting a philosopher’s essay that said women are not sexually attractive after giving birth, and were intellectually children who shouldn’t be trusted with any responsibility including votes and finances. It was the most incel shit ever and it got upvotes and positive comments.

Either we accept that the divorce subreddits are a place for people in pain to vent, and we don’t label it as toxic, or we realize the men in this subreddit engage in very similar extremes. Just my 2c.
