She is such a PickMe. She is/was a powerful woman in ways she never realised.
The power which she perceives in herself is solely related to her ability to turn men on. She talked a big game, but she taught girls to self-objectify, to go to great lengths to get male attention and to ultimately "catch" and settle down with a man - even if he's a piece of trash.

I used to be a HUGE Nicki Minaj fan. BedRock came out in 2009 when I was 19 and in college and I really dug her whole look, sound, and personality. Started listening to her mixtapes and followed her career, bought Pink Friday just to support her even though I could have easily pirated it, etc., etc. She was a role model for me of an assertive, independent woman. When she went on that rant about how men can act like bosses and have everyone respect them for it but when women behave the same way they get called bitches? Whenever people bug me about "settling down" or ask why I'm not married, I just explain that my life is awesome, I get to do whatever I want and spend every single holiday with my family, who I love dearly. My mom got stuck with my dad. After she had me she realized he was no catch, but the law in our country was that father’s would get parental rights almost all the time. Her best friend lost her son like that. As soon as I moved out she left him. When I saw her example I found the strength to get out of my own abusive relationship I had fallen into in high school.
