I would just say things that are high quality in general. I used to partake in the fast fashion scene, but then you get the clothes and it's all 100% polyester and feels like shit against your skin. Same goes for cheap skincare products, etc. I'd rather focus on quality than quantity.

I want to add sunscreen. Specifically look into Japanese sunscreens. I love the water based sunscreen I use. It is a game changer for me. I don't instantly sweat after applying it to my face. This absorbs quickly and is non greasy. Also it feels moisturizing instead of like I am sealing my face.

My go to is the Biore Aqua Rich Watery Essence 50++++SPF

They have a different rating system for SPF as well. 50 is the rating for UVB protection while each plus is a rating for UVA protection. Each is a measurement of how fast your skin will be damaged from exposure with the product. So 50 means it takes 50 times longer for your skin to burn with the sunscreen applied. While each plus is roughly double the time so ++++ is 16 times as long.

These are both important. UVB causes the reddening and blistering of your skin by damaging the outer layers. While UVA causes the aging and genetic deterioration by damaging the inner layers of your skin.

Do your own research to find a sunscreen that fits your needs. I am a fan of this sunscreen because it does not 'whiten' my skin. I am pale so adding extra white is not needed. A large majority of sunscreens 'whiten' which makes me feel like a ghost. The bigger bottle lasts me about six months for roughly $13 plus shipping.

Lol this is gonna sound funny

A fabric shaver. Buy them for like $20~ on Amazon. Basically it’s a few razors that spin around behind a steel guard with holes in it. You run it over your older clothes that have pills (like sweaters, socks, even blankets and stuff).

Reasons: it gives your clothes a longer life looking great. Ever find a killer garment at a thrift store but it’s all worn and pilled up with little beads of fabric? You try pulling them off and they just make dumb strands of fuzz? Fabric shaver. That 5$ sweater now looks like new.

OH!! And it also works great on the inner thighs of pants. Mine always got worn and showed fabric puffs after wearing and washing. Fabric shaver to the rescue 😎

If you are a bath taker I HIGHLY SUGGEST a bath caddy. They can turn a quick soak into a several hour affair. Lol. I won’t link a specific one because it’s all about the features you want, but one with a wine glass holder and phone holder is amazing!

In terms of improving books, I highly recommend the life-changing magic of tidying up by Marie Kondo, and the bullet journal method by Ryder Carroll. (Both are on the FDS reading list)

Bonus, they're more introspective and long term activity books, with less focus on buying happiness.

One pair of heels: so you stunt on your ex as you walk buy him at target. Your heels with click clack and he’ll hear you walking past his bull shit.

One grown up signature scent: find yours. Everyone loves different types of scents. Which one makes you feel sexy af? Which one do men/friends compliment the most?

One grown up lipstick: doesn’t have to be high end mine cost $6.00. When I wear mine I feel like men just want to kiss me. It makes me feel like my look is complete.

My advice is keep things around your house that make YOU happy. For me, this is the artwork/decor in my place. I have black and white photos I took placed in antique gold frames in my kitchen... a photo collage of my closest friends on my fridge... a banner of my favorite sports team in my living room... and so on. I love looking around my place and seeing things that specifically make me happy.

I also believe greenery in the household can uplift one's mood. Get a house plant or some succulents. Or regularly buy yourself flowers.

Scents also are uplighting... for me this is specifically incense but some people prefer candles or essential oils. Whatever works for you.

In terms of anything else like make up, purses, skincare and so on, it really is personal to each individual.

Now that it's getting to be fall... I'm spending money on my personal "fall necessities" so.....

Cashmere sweaters!! I buy one whenever I see a new pretty design or really great color. Found this gorgeous greyed lavender twinset at a vintage store, can't wait to wear it.

Fancy gloves, for when it gets colder... really loving the printed velvet ones a friend sent me so I ordered more colors of them. ( Check out the Polonova website, they have gorgeous socks too, I might have gone overboard and bought everything dark green, black and burgundy they make. Ha! )

Scarves! Shawls! Wraps! Capes! If it's velvet, cool patterned or elaborate embroidery it's MINE!!

Fall/winter perfume and candles.... I'm a perfume and scented candle junkie and switch from fruits and florals to darker scents for cold weather so now I'm shopping for black tea, firewood, and mulled cider type everything. Murdock London Black Tea scent is awesome to me, even though it's dude's cologne, got some of the cologne, the body wash and two of the candles. Thymes Simmered Cider candles are my newest "tried and loved it" thing, I typically only buy Voluspa candles but this new flavor is awesome!!! My house and I smell great!!

Winterizing supplies for my car.... I prefer to do my fluid & filter changes etc. myself so I treated myself to some seasonal spiced chai cider and had a great afternoon in the garage setting my baby up for cold weather. Also I treated my baby to new studded tires that'll go on when the first sleet happens. I usually don't drive my cool car in the winter, but this year I'll have the option instead of just puttering around in my "practical SUV" .... just a thought, I found these tires and they're the perfect thing for my car so I got them but if you want to save money you always buy winter tires during spring/summer when they're often on sale.

Pepper spray! Get it for you, get it for women in your life.

After that, let's see. I love the Tile key chain attachment so I can ring my keys if I misplace them, and I have Tile stickers on my earbud case and my remote too. If I set my phone down and forget where, I can use any of my Tiles to ring my phone. Small stress reducer.

A soap caddy for your sink is great too. I have one that holds hand soap in one container and dish soap in another, and has room in the back to hold a sponge. So much better than bottles everywhere!
