I 100% believe it's not about them "not knowing" or "being incapable" deep down, it's about not wanting to be arsed to do "menial women's work" that is beneath them. Legit if they're used to a woman doing something, AKA cooking, cleaning, organizing, they claim they don't know how to do it... but they're fucking full grown adults, and there's an INFINITE AMOUNT of tutorials in Youtube, Instagram, Facebook... If you don't know something, fucking find out and learn how to do it??

I don't buy the "but I don't know how to do ittttt!" whiny excuse. Then fucking learn! I have 11+yo nieces who can make themselves mac and cheese, nacho fries, and all sorts of simple meals. Meanwhile, the fathers have all sorts of jobs that require higher education/training... and they claim to not know how to turn on a washer. It's disgraceful, and a total turn off.

When a man says, "I don't know how to cook." What he means is...

"I am too lazy and think it is someone else's (mainly a woman) responsibility to take care of me like my mother did. I refuse to read a cook book or watch YouTube videos or access any other easily accessible avenues of knowledge to learn a basic life skill because I view myself as better than others and deserving of servants."

my ex tried to act like this after we broke up (he was still living with me briefly post break up until he could coordinate new housing and pay me for breaking the lease) - he wallowed whenever I was cooking yet still had the nerve to act picky about what I made like I was going to offer any to him in the first place. needless to say his temper tantrum and sulking about starving evaporated any attraction I had left and I counted down the minutes until he was OUT!

He knew I showed love and caring by cooking for people, knowing what they like and making it for them, and he tried to neg me towards the end of our relationship and a bit after the fact (which was hilarious, I always was like “well I’m sorry your tastebuds are underdeveloped and you can’t appreciate what I cook” - I know what I make is good, no scrote can shake that). He did that to me once and I never cooked for him again.

Seeing this post after my date last night. He cooked and it was delicious. I tried to help clean up and he wouldn't let me. I vocalized that I was nervous for him to try anything I ever made after how good his food was and he replied "Don't ever worry about it. You don't have to"

I’m the cook in the relationship. I’m just better at it. He will pick up slack if I ask. In exchange, he does all the cleaning (I’d much rather cook than do the clean up) and laundry. I don’t even know how to operate our washer and dryer…lol…bc I’ve never used it.

I noticed that when I lived with a guy, most of the time they end up doing absolutely no chores and will literally leave their cloths, trash and dirty dishes around until you get so disgusted with it, you clean it up. I remember talking to my dad about it and he said, well maybe they just have a higher tolerance to mess, but now that I'm older and kept running into this, I realized that they were lazy and entitled and expected me to do all of the cleaning, even if I was working full time. Many guys still think it's "women's work", especially guys my age and older (40+).

The ones that piss me off the most are the ones who think because he has a job, he doesn't have to do anything at all. Just work and come home and expect hus wife to wait on him hand and foot.

Especially infuriating are the ones who now work from home due to covid and they still do nothing while locked in their "office" acting like they're working so hard when they're watching porn and shit posting somewhere.

To dump everything on the one you're supposed to love and care for is fucked up.

It really sucks that most of my hobbies are related to home-making. I’m very into cooking, baking, and reading up on cleaning/organizing hacks to maintain a cleaning routine. I collect clay cookware & dishes made in my home country and i am teaching myself to cook all of the traditional recipes from scratch. Ive realized i can’t let men know about any of this though. Even showing a pic of what i had for dinner is too much cause they say dumb shit like “you made that?!” Then when i say yes they’re like “oh I love a woman that can cook” as if I’d ever cook for them! These assholes won’t even supply the ingredients, they just show up with an empty stomach and hard dick expecting you to satisfy all their needs. My former pickme self used to love cooking for others as a way of showing love but that effort was never reciprocated. these days I’ve taken a page out of the scrote handbook and pretend I can’t cook whenever they ask. I just say I hate cooking and I’m very bad at it even though it’s a lie.

When I was dating my ex I used to cook for him loads and yes, would clean his bathroom 🤡. He was a shitty husband.

I love to cook but force myself not to do stuff when I visit my boyfriend. It’s really hard but he loves fetching me glasses of wine and taking care of me. He takes pride in his home and in being a host. I might keep this one.

I would NEVER cook for a man. I’m still pretty young, I have always disliked cooking and been very upfront about that to people. I cannot tell you how many times scrotes have had the audacity to tell me shit like “you have time to learn” 🤡🤡🤡🤡. Like go to hell.

I get periods, I’m the one supposed to go through the horrors of childbirth, I’m physically weaker. Things will never be equal between me and a man. So tell me again how it should be ME that’s wasting time cooking for HIM. I don’t think so.

If a grown ass man cannot take care of himself then to me it’s an instant sign he’s NV. Not even LV because he is literally not even bringing any little bit of value, he’s leeching off you and wasting your free time making you do chores for him and basically being an unpaid worker. I straight up told my guy when we met that I don't cook. I can, I just don't like to. I've got about 5 things that I'm really good at. I'm a FANTASTIC baker, but he doesn't care for baked goods, so he doesn't expect food. He tells me he enjoys my company so much, he loves to cook and see me happy.

Reminds me of my college "friend".

Actually reminds me of the entire polish culture of raising sons to be taken care of by their mothers while daughters are pushed to do everything at home.

My mom was actually discussing this with me recently. Most of the men are raised where they expect their wife/forever gf to pick up the slack when they get married or move in. It's more often get married at 20-24 and never grow up.

But back to shitty nvm friend.

We all got a dorm first in college..some people even had the same one for their entire degree. We were international students.

We got cleaning supplies and toilet paper once a in month as each dorm had its own bathroom with shower and sink. Kitchens were in the common area.

This guys toilet was a giant bowl of rust. We used to come over but his bathroom was so gross id go back to my own dorm to pee. He lived off pretty much only junk and microwaveables so trash was always out.

I have pretty bad ADHD so living on my own without a roommate is by a challenge in terms of maintaining my space clean and organized, but I would never invite a single person over if my dorm wasn't spotless. I'd actually trick myself into cleaning by inviting people over. I was spotless with a roommate.
