That sounds desperate, because people have many reasons to break up, and can be wrong matches in different spheres (like he cares about her, but has different views on marriage and kids), but she's ready to ignore other warning signs, because he didn't abuse her like previous guys had done.

I had a long-term ex, who I dated after I extricated myself from a severely emotionally abusive marriage (so even the bare minimum seemed amazing to me).

Once during sex apparently I made a face or sound that indicated more pain than pleasure, and he stopped. But then he made this HUGE deal about how he stopped. Like no joke he must have talked to me for about 20 min about how he’s the “type of man” who can’t stand when a woman is in pain, and point blank asked me “isn’t that amazing?” Like I had to pat him on the back for it.

In retrospect I really treated him like a fucking king for bare minimum, and sometimes below bare minimum shit.

I have a special very spicy meal I eat during my period. It’s the only food that I can take during that time. My bf can’t make spicy food and can’t stay anywhere close to chili.
