Why do men always seem to think that accurately stating their actions is worse than them actually doing the actions in the first place?

Example:. Man gaslights woman, woman calls him out on it, man calls woman "emotionally abusive" for saying that he was doing something abusive to her, that he openly admits to having done.

Them mistreating us, talking shit about us, is so normalized that it doesn't even register as a thing to them.

Us just speaking facts about our experiences, our feelings, and our desire to avoid LVM (not abuse them—simply AVOID them) is from a completely unfamiliar space for them. They cannot fathom it and are outraged. They don't even see it for the hypocrisy that it is. Because when they do it, it's "justified." When we simply push back (not want to put up with it anymore, discuss strategies to AVOID them) they are shocked beyond measure.
