This is why I think it’s important to not have casual sex and fwb. Imagine if this girl got pregnant, he would probably lie and say some shit like: I only slept with her once and I used protection.

Pre-FDS I once approached a man proposing a FWB arrangement. He'd given me his number a few months previous, so I knew he was interested in me, but he'd said something that'd indicated he wasn't interested in a serious relationship. He was a scumbag with a fuckboy reputation and I found him repulsive yet was highly physically attracted to him. I thought that made him the perfect candidate. Someone I wouldn't develop feelings for, who wouldn't develop feelings for me, who I could have casual sex with.

Long story short, over the course of two months he tried to manipulate me into developing feelings for him, played stupid mind games, stealthed me, convinced me to let him forego condoms entirely and rely solely on pulling out, and never gave me a single orgasm. I was in a really bad place mentally and just tolerated that shit. And for what? I could have ended up pregnant or contracting something. How was I benefitting?

Hook up culture is poison. This is why it makes me so so sad that I have several friends on apps right now who thinking sleeping with a guy early on or as soon as they feel like it is necessary and won't get them hurt and used. They always tell me that "closing people off" isn't good. It's better to be safe than be used by some trash person (speaking from experience). I've never ever ever regretted passing up on sleeping with someone. But regret every single on of my hookups.

One of my friends was ghosted by someone she met on Bumble(after months of sleeping with him might I add). It felt like he got what he wanted from her and then when he moved cities he wanted to find a "hook up buddy" w someone in his vicinity so he no longer wanted to give her the time of day. She beleived they had a connection adn they spoke all the tiem, every day. He never put a label on it though (sketch wtf). It's been a week after he ghosted. She is heartbroken and she's slept with 5 guys she met on Bumble and is wondering why she still feels so broken still.

The whole "best way to get over him by getting under someone else" is SO DAMAGING. NO do not expect to every find one night stands healing. You are pouring salt into your wounds even more.

I have a high sex drive so I have a FWB, but the only reason I chose to have casual sex with him is because even though it’s just sex, he still puts in a lot of effort. He takes me on nice dates, buys me gifts, always either picks me up or sends me an Uber, opens doors, caters to me throughout the night, and takes me to breakfast in the morning and even if I don’t have time he’ll buy me breakfast to take with me. Oh and he always makes sure I cum. He never does last minute booty calls and respects my time enough to ask me out about a week in advance. Also, sometimes he’ll randomly drop off lunch to me while I’m at work if he has free time in between clients. He knows I have high standards and that if he drops the ball I won’t be seeing him anymore. Men value what they have to work for and even in a causal fling, they’re capable of being high effort and respectful if they know you won’t settle for less.
