Men don't know what boundaries are when it comes to women because women don't pose a threat to them, and because society has taught them what boundaries are from birth. Sure, hypothetically, a woman can be a threat, but it's incredibly rare, and not in the same way men are to women - men are an omnipresent threat to women, and the response to this very subreddit is evidence of how they like to remind us of that very fact. Men will assault women without even realising they're assaulting them. Men will insult any woman online for simply being too confident or happy because they ant to remind her of 'her place' - under the boot of the patriarchy.

Men rarely have to stop and consciously build up their boundaries because they are taught how to assert them from birth - someone makes a boy feel bad? He's told to beat that person up, or even simply avoid them. Unlike girls, who are taught to always be peacemakers, even at their own detriment. To always be nice.

If you neg a man, he will block you. If you neg a woman, she will be confused and upset and think maybe she did something wrong, and she will have to build up courage to block someone for this, because being assertive feels so 'wrong' and 'rude'. This is why men conflate boundaries with standards/wants in a relationship - enforcing boundaries is natural to them and they've never had to write them down for themselves, standards and wants are the only things they've consciously laid out for themselves.
