For a tiny fraction of the society, trans people are massively overrepresented in headlines everywhere. Obviously people will be curious about something that so many talk about.

So there's the curiosity.

Also, there's a lot more pressure on men to be strictly heterosexual. Any lady can casually mention she's bi and people will think nothing of it.

For the longest time the Overton window for acceptable expressions of masculinity was an arrow slit. That has been gradually changing for decades and these days it's generally more socially acceptable for men to have sexual desire that goes beyond the most strict definition of heterosexuality.

This could just be showing that trans people are more obsessively consumed by porn (which tracks with most of the trans people I’ve known….they tend to be totally sex-obsessed) rather than showing a broad market for trans porn.

The problem with the T is that its not about yearning for the same acceptance, marriage rights and representation that the LGB's have been fighting for, its about encroaching on others territory. So many trans women I see online either insist that every man secretly wants a trans woman (they dont) or that they're actually female (they're not). Brigading bot filled, propoganda ridden shitholes like Reddit wont ever make that true in the real world.

As someone bisexual myself, its kind of amusing seeing this simultaneous need for trans/trans allies to be seen as a legitimate demographic from one side of their mouth whilst desperately insisting that men are all just oh so secretly attracted to them from the other. And thats not even to say trans porn or trans women arent popular...they are. But pretending its the second most viewed porn category would be like me pretending that every white women secretely wants a black dick. Do a good portion? Yeah, probably. Most? Not even close.

Im not into trans porn but I will say I would rather watch trans porn than most other categories because I'm just not into women or vaginas and I'm assuming a lot of them still have a dick. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of guys watch it for that reason too, because trans women are real women so watching them isn't gay and a huge portion of men still have a homophobia problem. So really I'm doubtful that porn categories are at all indicative of a cultural change, it's just trendy.

There’s nothing wrong or weird about it imo, as a bi woman I find a lot of trans people hot just like I find a lot of cis people hot. But I do think it’s linked to MAGA’s increasing hate towards trans women, unfortunately. Some of these folks (mostly men) are entirely too obsessed with less than 1% of the population, to the point they’re accusing cis women celebs of being trans like some sort of witch hunt.

And just like with homophobia often stemming from closeted homosexuality, I suspect many have viewed trans porn before or experienced attraction to a trans woman at some point or are afraid they will. And this upsets them, so they externalize their feelings instead of dealing with it.

What is there to debate here? Men find trans women hot. Any trans woman can tell you that’s always been the case. There’s a reason trans women have long been pushed into survival sex work. It's because masturbation is a form of autoeroticism. If a man masturbates often, he will begin to associate his own physicality with sexual arousal and stimulation.
