A higher percentage of women have children than men, across education and income levels. And more lower-income men have children than upper income men.

Your particular social group may not be reflecting this for whatever reason.

Having children doesn’t “cost” us men any physical pain or “labor”. So of course we’re less resistant to the idea. And when you consider the fact that it’s almost always the women that do the majority of the physical child-rearing (with the men usually just providing the resources and pitching in occasionally), it wouldn’t surprise me if men were a lot less apprehensive about having children.

What you’re asking is basically the same as asking “Hmm… Have you guys ever noticed that rich people are rarely ever opposed to the existence of jobs like maids or butlers?” Or like asking “Have you guys ever noticed that Onlyfans girls hardly ever criticize men for watching porn?” It’s a lot easier to be pro-childbirth when you aren’t the one who’s stomach is being stretched out for nine months.

When a woman has a baby she has to put her career on hold for a while, so you are obviously going to find more men with kids, who are successful.

Because having kids isn’t a theoretical idea to a woman. It’s a very practical reality. It’s changing my physical person for 2+ years to grow, birth and nurse a living human being.

If I could ejaculate into someone else’s womb then yeah I’d be way more likely to have kids. But seeing as it’s my body, career, and future being permanently affected, it’s not an opportunity I’m interested in.

I've noticed the opposite. In my circle almost none of our friends have children. Almost all of our friends have PhDs in the sciences or engineering, or are MDs, and are high earners. I get told how good looking my husband is, and also his friends, quite often from random strangers, acquaintances, and my friends and even my family.

I’m not familiar with the statistical data regarding the family formation of the upper middle class and upper class but I’ve noticed that both male and female high earners tend to have multiple children, the majority of male and female CEOs of major European companies for example seem to have a large family which makes sense considering that many couples would want to have more children if they had more financial assets. The average working class couple is a bit hesitant and reluctant about having more than two children at this point, even if they are relatively financially stable. Being excessively wealthy gives you more freedom in that regard, and I presume most people would make use of that freedom given the opportunity

That being said, I don’t think that a man who doesn’t want any children is of “low value” by default. It’s an individual preference and personal choice after all

Well, to have a lot of children as woman means you probably have to sacrifice your career or at least pause it for a moment so this makes sense if career women are both less common, or don’t have many or any children if they do.

Men have the advantage of being able to have both things thriving at the same time.

From my observation, men higher on the socio-economic ladder are more likely to have kids, but unlikely to have more than two. They're statisticalky more likely to get married, so it makes sense that they'd be more likely to have kids. I'd assume women follow a similar pattern until you get to really highly career focussed ones.

A man who is desirable to women will be having quite a bit more sex than an undesirable man. Therefore he’ll have more kids/higher odds of marriage.

Of course they could be childless by choice, or the hot ~30yr old guy you are using as an example was an ugly nerd student at age 24, late bloomer etc.

Yes (it's rare for a HVM to be childfree) because most high value men begin to prioritize some concept of longevity/legacy after a certain age, even if they put it off for longer than some. To take an extreme example, if you come from a high powered family (say a family with a name - a Getty, a Kennedy, a Morgan, etc.) you'll almost definitely have kids not only because you personally want to but because that's an expectation of anyone with any kind of social standing. After all, who are you going to pass on your assets to when you die?

If you're talking about value as in the SMV, then no. Higher value men who were on the market tend to already have been locked down by women looking to start a family. At some point those same men were single and recognized as high value, hence why some woman tried to lock him down.

It's very rare to be able to have children and a "proper" ladder building career if you're a woman. Unfortunately, girls are told they can have both, women learn it's bullshit. Men can, women can't.

most high value women have children too it's just that women aren't really measured by traditional markers of success when determining their value in the dating market, at least not nearly as much as men are. high value in this context means highly desirable by the opposite sex and since men and women are generally looking for different qualities in potential partners you can't make a 1:1 comparison like that.

the reasons that successful women have less kids than successful men is because their male counterparts are often not looking for women like them, which are the type of men these women want more than any other group of women. those men are looking for somebody who compliments their life, not more of the same they already have (i.e. resources). having kids is also more costly for women, both physically and in terms of their career. the vast majority of highly successful women are fairly liberal and feminist while successful men aren't necessarily, so there's obviously different values and life goals that come with that too.

Isn't it a good thing that actually HVM are having kids? I think it is wonderful. Why would a HVM leave his heritage and contribution to no one? Why work so hard and do so many things to just be child free? In any case, such men would just work enough for themselves.

Let's be honest... most "childfree" redditors are nerd losers, same as many of the "poly" trash people having sex with other trash people. If people can choose one one or very few high quality partners, they will... not just have sex with ugly and disgusting people.

Women who marry HVM usually feel comfortable enough to have kids, and if they don't, then those HVM will find other women who do.

Men usually don't have strong opinions about having or not having kids if they can afford them, since for men it is not a issue to have kids.

Hell yeah they do. I'm childfree and my preference is childfree men or men whose kids are well over 18 and independent. I live in a large city (Dallas) and am fit and financially secure myself, and I absolutely meet what I consider my male equivalent on social media (I have large Facebook following) and online apps. A man who is fit, makes a great income and has no kids is high value to me.

I'm not even actively dating at the moment and several of my male Facebook "friends" are as I described above and would date me if I moved in that direction.

They exist they are just very rare. Most HVM men want to pass on their genes or their legacy. Childfree lifestyle are for low value men who hate their genes, have mental health or financial problems.
