Worth remembering several additional factors. Men outnumber women roughly until the age 35-40. If a 25+yo woman is still a virgin... then why has no-one decided to have sex with her up until now? If she had an SO and initiated a breakup, she either chose poorly, or abandoned a good man. If she had an SO and was abandoned by him, she either chose poorly, or has an irredeemable flaw that he was not ready to tolerate.

One subset of women where none of the above applies is the recently widowed, but how many of them are there?

I firmly believe that "the dating scene" itself filters out "good people", and the better a person is, the faster they're going to leave it. Is there a club of "single women of good character" somewhere that I have never heard of? Assuming a man finds himself single in 25+ age range, and wants to find a stable, mentally sound partner for long and happy relationship, where does he even start?
