Do I think some women put more effort into sex during the early stages of a relationship? Sure. Same way men put 10x more effort into… well, everything, usually including sex, during the early stages. People get comfortable and may think it’s not necessary to try as hard to impress someone they already know wants to be with them. This is okay to some degree, life would be too stressful if we always made as much effort to impress our spouses as we did when we were dating. But yes, people can definitely get TOO comfortable and start taking each other for granted, this is just not a woman-specific thing, at all. Ask any woman who’s been married a while and seen her husband come home from work, fart, and throw his socks on the floor. Did he do that while they were dating? For that hot chick he was trying to impress in college? I sure doubt it.

And sometimes, the higher comfort level with married/LTR sex and the desire to keep things interesting can actually make it much wilder. I’ve done things with my husband I never in a million years would’ve considered with a hookup or short-term relationship. But I have a feeling you’ve never been married so wouldn’t know.
