For as long as I’ve been arguing with people online, I’ve always purported that dating apps won’t work for most men, the ones that it will work for, need to be really attractive and/or have great photos. I’ve argued that whether a man’s goal is long term relationships (LTR) OR casual sex, building a rapport with women met in real life will be more effective and the women will be more peng.

HOWEVER, I never have or ever will refute online dating apps usage has been on the rise ever since it’s inception, it’s becoming a more and more popular both for LTR’s and casual sex. And the stigma around using these services is almost gone.

For those aged 18-29, 48% have been used a dating app but only 17% have got a relationship through a dating app (this includes myself).

Overa all ages, 23% have been a date and 12% have got a relationship.

Our increasing reliance on technology, it’s socially isolating factors seem to predict this trend will only keep getting bigger, and it’s not hard to imagine that Online Dating will eventually take place as the main method used for all dating (although there’s evidence to suggest the opposite may happen)

But that’s the future, advice for right now is always to play to strengths of the current market. Sure, looksmax as much as you can, but also socialmax and locationmax. Men should go where they’re most likely to be wanted, until the paradigm shifts… It is what it is.

 

TL;DR: online dating will eventually take over as the biggest way men and women meet, until then, the old methods are still the best.
