I forced myself to learn this in college. My first semester I took public speaking, voice classes and did nude modeling as a job. Singing in public was way scarier than standing around naked BTW.

After all of that though, my presentation were awesome, and any interview I went on I dominated, even if I was totally out of my league. It scored me a fellowship even though my GRE scores were total crap.

I remember reading about a study a while back that showed a direct two-way link between facial expression and actual emotion. It was about how people whose faces had been botoxed and had lost full expression actually felt emotions less strongly because they couldn't express them physically.

These sorts of things really support the "fake it" advice because if acting happy can make you happy, then surely acting confident can do the same. Consider the whole thing reflexive. Whether it starts from inside or out, you get the same result.

I whole-heartedly believe studying body language should be required reading for the whole seduction community. I for one learned an incredible amount of body language from "What Every Body is Saying" by Joe Navarro.

Pretty good book on body language. I read it and it kinda changed the way i look at people (and at my own body language). Better don't judge it by the cover though.

Yes, this talk makes sense. With the new data on neuroplasticity, certain microbehaviors (ie tweaks) can accumulate and literally create new physical regions in the brain. We are literally moulding our brain every second, even when you reading this sentence.

Anthony Robbin's stuff touches on this a lot, also. I like it, I tried her 2 minute thing and I found it actually put me in a great mood. What I like most though is that it's backed up by experiments, whereas Athony Robbin's approach requires you to believe in him.

This made me reflect on how foolish people are in general, myself inclusive. It seems the power of the halo effect (a certain characteristic or trait that makes others within it's vicinity seem greater/better/more positive) has a lot greater power of manipulation over people than we really realize.
