I'm a guy with a pretty average physique, maybe slightly above average. I've been going to the gym for a few months, watch what I eat, all that stuff. But it'll probably be at least a year before I actually see any kind of visible results.

So as someone with an average, not too fat, not too thin, not very muscular body, is it reasonable for me to want a thin woman? I also wouldn't call myself "skinnyfat", there's some faint muscle definition on my body, and I actually look pretty good in the right lighting and angles. I'm not saying she needs to be fit or athletic, just thin. Most girls I know don't diet or exercise at all but still seem to have no problem at all remaining thin. I sort of have this idea that a thin woman and an average man are not really equal in terms of desirability, so why would a thin woman go for an average built man when she could easily get a muscular or athletic looking guy. Going by this logic, you might say that average-built men and chubby/fat women are on the same level. But if this is true, it seems pretty unfair that I, who exercises regularly and eats healthy, would have to date a fat woman who doesn't even have the willpower to stop eating lots of junk food.

What do you all think? Should guys with unimpressive (even if they're healthy) bodies not bother chasing thin women?
