The reason why I'm with my partner is because he does ALL these things.

He compliments me multiple times DAILY. So I feel better about myself.

He makes it known that I'm the only woman for him and he would never look elsewhere. So I feel secure and can trust him easily/not worry when he goes out.

My boyfriend has cried in front of me and I thought it was the sweetest thing ever. I think it is so brave to be emotional and show your true self to others.

My boyfriend plays no games and it's why we are together. We have the same temperament and ov never felt happier or more secure.

Most importantly he's a total gentleman and treats me with the highest respect. All my friends are jealous (in a good way) and simply adore him.

I chose him for how he treats me and feel so incredibly lucky - and disappointed in other men that they don't think to act the same.

I don’t think you should cry, beg, and plead if someone doesn’t want to be with you. You should break up. Of course this gets complicated when you’re married, but if you have a dead bedroom or something then it’s important to communicate. For example, if I have 3 small kids I don’t expect to have a super high sex drive and a dynamic sex life. When the kids get older or if we get a hotel room and/ or get a sitter so there aren’t 3 screaming kids running around then I assume my sex drive will be back to normal. Likewise if I have to work 2 jobs and am in school then I also don’t expect to be having sex every day.

What about just valuing the person you are in a relationship with? I think scarcity/abundance mindset is kinda toxic for both parties. Scarcity implies just settling and settling for terrible behavior and thinking the best you can do. Abundance means not ever fully commiting to someone because you have better options.

Like instead of playing mind games push pull if you click and connect with that person why not just date that person. If you don't feel like the effort is being reciprocated or there is a one sided effort maybe it's just not the relationship for you.

This is something I've noticed too, you can't be direct with women (most of the time, I'm sure there are exceptions). You have to compliment then go cold, wait for her to approach you , move closer, then back off ; you draw them in like that , it's a long and tiring dance. Honestly I have become interested in men recently because I just cba... It's not scarcity. People generally value things that are substantial. Scarcity is just one of many ways that makes a specific object of value more substantial.

If A let's say values B for sex, typically A will make it substantial by making it exclusive to themselves. The reason for this is because what A wants is sex, but it won't hold the same value if others can freely get it as well. However B might value A desiring them. In order to have A desire them more they'll make sex scarce as they assume that A will then come to value B more for what they provide which is sex.

This can easily backfire however as B is assuming A values sex one way while A is valuing sex a different way. Valuing things those ways can bring about similar actions but that doesn't mean they are valuing the same things.
