Was married for 8 years and then I filed.. ex wife was self represented and was given every bit of leniency by the courts you could imagine…. I was ordered to pay her legal fees and provide whats known as “pendente lite” support to her during duration of divorce proceedings to the amt of 10k/month!!! Ended up having a 3 year trial (new jersey) where my hill to die on was 50/50 custody…obtained the 50/50 but was ordered 5 years of alimony/spousal support at 700/week or 3010/month….all of this was crippling….but its finally over…
