I don’t use Instagram..or any socials besides Reddit sometimes. Cleaner mental health. But ya ive never had a problem when asking for a girls contact some have even told me that’s a green flag. I’ve had one girl call me fucken weird for not having ig that was a funny one but ya if a girl doesn’t want to share her number that’s cool I’d rather lose a girl then to be on social media.

I kinda disagree with asking for the instagram, I think its a test of interest to see it you can get their number. If you just get their instagram then you have to dm them where generally there are so many other people dm-ing them.

Going for the number works if the interaction is positive. if the interaction isn't positive, I don't even ask or they just reject me. Idk, maybe it's location dependent but it's never been a big deal where I'm from.

Clearly every women is different. But Ive had little luck with IG, compared to phone numbers. Prob would always shoot for phone # first, then settle for IG if no.

That being said, Def want take the time to introduce yourself, flirt/ banter for at least 10-15 minutes. Don't just straight up ask for the number, even I wouldnt give my number to a completely stranger. Prematurely asking for the # has little success, speaking from personal exp

Naaa it's number or nothing unless you have like really low followers and following on insta. But no one has it written on their forehead how many followers they have, so better to go for the number. If they deny and offer insta instead then I can say alright and take it and say goodbyes and then analyse the followers count later. If it's like under 250 followers, then I might hit you a DM.

IG is just a fan thing if your followers are much higher than followings. No point in being buried in DMs of such accounts.

This sounds great on paper. The issue is when you get rejected constantly with no sense of progression (which is very common). This has actually caused more harm in my self esteem and makes me wary of making a move because most of the time I can predict the women won’t want to move forward.
