Every 35 year old man was once 18-22..

I’m not 35 yet but yeah I was poorer, dumber and had less to offer at 18 than I am now. However, other than having my own place, that never really impacted my ability to get into relationships or hook up - we just had to sneak around more, and fuck in cars, etc.

Young men don’t need to be anything other than affable, so that they have a large social group, get invited to parties and outings, and that people want to be around them.

I liked dating men in their early 20s when I was in my early 20s. They offered fun, companionship, adventure, sex, emotional support, etc. The finances didn't matter because we were young and didn't mind being broke.

I think most improvement with game is asymptotic. Those first years are where you make all the progress. This actually goes for getting good at anything.

Comparing 18 to 23 for me was HUGE. At 18 I had horrible anxiety, 0 experience, was 110 pounds, so many issues. I was definitely not viewed as a sexual creature by women.. Around 22 is when I really started getting out of my shell, travelling, got conversational in a second language, approached hundreds of women, and got a good amount of sexual experience. At this point I have also put on 30 pounds of muscle. So yeah 23 year old me is exponentially more attractive then I was at 18. But I will not see that big of a jump from now to 35. I mean, I hope I do, but there's no way.

So if your first four years of actually trying are 31-35, then yea, you will peak at 35. But I think most guys its probably more like late 20s.

Offer to whom?

I'm a professor. I work with 18-22 year olds all the time. (Though in most of my CS classes, we have 1/4-1/3rd non traditional students.) The 18-22 year olds mostly date each other - probably because they are looking to people at similar stages in life that they can relate to.

Now, I'm in my fifties, and I absolutely wouldn't date the 18-22 year old, even if they weren't my student (to me, they just feel like children). And I probably wouldn't date the 35 year old - especially for anything serious.*

If I were me at 27 (but single) I'd be more interested in the 35 year. Of course, at 27 I'd bought a house, and had hundreds of thousands (maybe over a million? - not sure the exact amount right then) in stock options. Not in the coming out of college stage of life!

*Some years back I went on a date with a Marine who I thought was in his mid thirties and ended up being in his late twenties and oh dear gods no! ...though he still texts me ever few months.
